Patricia Cardner's Perspective
Poker personality, author, and podcaster Patricia Cardner is making her first appearance at the World Series of Poker this year. This particular event holds special meaning for her, as her husband served for many years in the United States Air Force. As Cardner fondly noted, "He is an officer and a gentleman."
In addition to participating in this tournament, Cardner plans to stay for several weeks and is especially excited to play in the Seniors Event for the first time. She secured her entry into the tournament by winning a satellite seat for just $33.
When asked about her preparation routine, Cardner shared a few key practices: “Get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast with some protein, and set an intention.” She elaborated on the importance of mindset, explaining, “It’s not about saying ‘I’m going to win,’ but rather ‘I’m going to stay focused and make good decisions.’”
