2025 World Series of Poker
The live stream action kicked off with Bryn Kenney opening to 900,000 with the A♠A♥ and Martin Kabrhel three-bet for almost his entire short stack with the A♣K♥. Kenney then pushed all-in and Kabrhel asked for a count on the shove first before calling all-in.
Kabrhel was in very rough shape but the 8♥5♠4♣7♦6♦ board provided a straight on the board for the split pot.

Ben Tollerene opened to 900,000 on the button and Alex Foxen three-bet to 2,150,000 in the small blind. Tollerene four-bet jammed all in for 7,600,000 and Foxen snapped him off.

Alex Foxen: A♠A♥
The flop came A♣J♦8♥ and Foxen took a huge lead with a set of aces. The Q♠ on the turn gave Tollerene some life but the 3♠ on the river quickly ended Tollerene's run in eighth place.

Martin Kabrhel declared an essential all-in for 2,725,000 with 25,000 behind and Chris Brewer in the next seat pondered about the decision for a short while with plenty of players behind, then declared "I call".
Alex Foxen let go of the K♣Q♥, and everyone else also got out of the way. On the A♥9♥8♣ flop, the Czech entrepreneur checked and Brewer bet 500,000.
"How much? Why so much, you can just fold," Kabrhel joked back.
Martin Kabrhel: 8♦7♦
Chris Brewer: A♣J♠
Both players had connected with the board and Kabrhel needed to improve to avoid elimination. No help came with the 4♦ turn and 5♥ river to send Kabrhel to the payout desk in seventh place for $674,359.

The action folded around to David Peters in the small blind who raised to 5,425,000, leaving just 25,000 chips behind. Alex Foxen raised all in from the big blind and Peters flicked in his last chip.
David Peters: K♦7♦
Alex Foxen: A♦6♠
The flop came A♥Q♣7♥ to give both players a pair, but Foxen was in a big lead with the pair of aces. The 4♠ on the turn left Peters drawing thin and the 8♣ sent Peters to the payout desk.

The action folded to Alex Foxen in the small blind and he raised to 1,400,000 with the 10♣3♦, Seth Davies in the big blind defended the 8♦5♦ to spike a flush draw with the A♦2♦2♥ flop. Foxen continued for 800,000 before staring at his table neighbour while Davies only glanced at the board and tossed in calling chips.
On the 5♣ turn, Foxen bumped it up to 2,800,000 with his new-found gutshot and the far bigger stack size but Davies called after a very brief period of consideration. The board paired for the second time on the 5♥ river, giving Davies fives full of aces.
Foxen slowed down and checked, once again immediately staring at Davies who peeked at his cards once again. Davies then bet all but one chip and forced out Foxen.

Chris Brewer raised to 900,000 in the hijack with A♣J♣ and Alex Foxen flat-called in the cutoff with A♦J♦. They went heads-up to a flop of 10♣9♣7♥ and Brewer started with a check.
Foxen tossed in a bet of 850,000 and Brewer used one of his time banks before shoving all in for 8,375,000. Foxen quickly dispatched his cards and Brewer continued to chip up at the final table.

Chris Brewer opted to limp in from the small blind with the Q♠J♥ and Alex Foxen raised it up to 1,600,000 - four times the big blind - holding the 9♠9♣ in the big blind. The duo headed to the Q♣3♣3♠ flop on which Brewer checked and Foxen continued for 900,000, picking up a call from Brewer.
That led them to the 5♥ on the turn and Brewer checked again, prompting a second barrel worth 1,800,000 by Foxen. After brief contemplation, Brewer called and the 9♥ rolled off on the river.
With 6,925,000 behind, Brewer checked and Foxen declared a bet of 10 million which covered the stack of his opponent. Brewer instantly sighed and then carefully counted his stack before he called all-in to see the cards turned over.
"Holy fuck, what the fuck? I mean, how does this happen every time?" Brewer exclaimed as he shot out of his chair, half laughing half in disbelief ... he tried to add more words after that, but grabbed his belongings instead and walked off the live stream table.
Brewer, a former winner of this particular event, bows out in fifth place and is the first player to earn a seven-figure payday worth $1,066,731.

Thomas Boivin raised it up to 1,100,000 from the cutoff with Q♠9♦ and Seth Davies called from the small blind holding A♣5♣. The flop came A♠J♠8♦ and Davies check-called a bet of 2,400,000 from Boivin.
The 5♠ landed on the turn and Davies checked again after making two pair. Boivin announced a bet of 4,500,000 and Davies stuck around for the 2♠ on the river. Davies checked one more time and Boivin checked back the third nuts, taking it to showdown and collecting the pot.
