Foxen and Boivin Lead the Way

Level 21 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

In the previous hand, it folded to Alex Foxen and he jammed out of the small blind with the A5 into the big blind of Bryn Kenney.

Thomas Boivin then opened to 1,100,000 with the Q2 and Kenney jammed for 6,100,000 with his AK to force a quick fold from Boivin.

Foxen then opened to 1,100,000 with the J10 and fellow big stack Boivin defended the Q2 in the big blind. The flop brought A55 and both players checked to the 9 on the turn. Boivin checked again and Foxen bet 1,150,000 to win the pot right there.

Boivin Once Again Takes From Davies

Level 21 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin

The action started with an open raise to 1,250,000 by Seth Davies with the Q10 and Thomas Boivin only called holding the AJ in the small blind. It was all Boivin on the A76 flop and he checked, Davies checked back.

The J on the turn improved Boivin to the top two pair and he bet 2,500,000 into a pot of 3,500,000. Davies gave it some thought and called with his gutshot straight draw, which he missed on the 6 river.

Boivin stared at the board for several seconds and then moved all-in with the covering stack, Davies folded instantly.

Small Pots for Kenney

Level 21 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Bryn Kenney limped in from the small blind with Q9 and Thomas Boivin raised it up to 1,400,000 in the big blind with 84. Kenney called and the dealer fanned the flop of Q105.

Kenney decided to lead out with a bet of 1,200,000 and Boivin quickly dumped his rags into the muck.

On the next hand, Kenney raised to 1,300,000 on the button with 1010 and forced both of the blinds to fold.

Boivin Takes a Big Hit

Level 21 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Alex Foxen raised to 1,100,000 in the cutoff with KQ and Thomas Boivin defended with 108 in the big blind. The flop came J72 and Boivin check-called a bet of 900,000 from Foxen.

The turn was the 4 and Boivin checked again. Foxen counted out a larger bet of 4,850,000 and Boivin instantly sent his cards to the muck.

On the next hand, Seth Davies raised to 1,250,000 in the cutoff with QQ. Boivin called from the small blind with A7 and they went heads-up to a flop of 742. Boivin led out with a bet of 1,100,000 and Davies made it 3,100,000. Boivin called and the 4 paired the board on the turn.

Boivin checked this time and Davies dropped in a bet of 3,000,000. Boivin used one of his time banks and then called to see the Q on the river. Boivin checked one more time and Davies bet 4,775,000, leaving just one chip behind. Boivin looked him up and Davies showed his full house for nearly a full double up.

Bryn Kenney

First to act, Bryn Kenney raised it up to 1,300,000 and Thomas Boivin on the button three-bet to 2,600,000 with the A5.

Seth Davies in the big blind then cold four-bet to 6,500,000 and Kenney checked his cards once more before getting his last 8,000,000 into the middle. Boivin folded and Davies called to find himself in great shape for scooping another decent pot.

Bryn Kenney: AQ All in
Seth Davies: KK

"Did you have an ace?" Kenney asked Boivin and then joked "I feel better now" before laughing.

The 94287 board delivered no help to Kenney, who had to settle for fourth place and a payday of $1,446,929.

Davies Increases Lead With River Shove

Level 22 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

The first hand of the new level saw Seth Davies open to 1,500,000 with the 66 on the button and Thomas Boivin three-bet to 6,000,000 in the small blind holding the A9. It folded back to Davies who called and Boivin took the lead with the AK2 flop.

Boivin bet only 2,600,000 into a pot of 13,200,000 and Davies stuck around to see the 8 on the turn. After some consideration, Boivin opted to check and Davies checked it back as both got to see the Q river for free. Following another check by Boivin with his top pair, Davies also took a while before making his next move.

That happened to be a shove with the superior stack and he got Boivin to lay down the superior hand.
