Theologis (Virtually) Shoves the River

Alexandros Theologis opened to 105,000 from under the gun before David Peters three-bet to 290,000 from the hijack, and Theologis called.

On the Q♠9♠4♣ flop, Theologis checked to Peters who bet 180,000, Theologis check-raised to 500,000, and Peters called.

Theologis fired for 400,000 on the J♠ turn and Peters stuck around with a call.

On the 6♣ river, Theologis bet 915,000 with 5,000 behind. Peters would burn through two time banks before he elected to fold, conceding the pot to Theologis without showdown.

Sturm continued for 225,000 on the flop of 7♣4♣5♣ and Kisacikoglu called. Both players then checked on the K♣ turn. Sturm bet 550,000 on the 9♠ river and Kisacikoglu called.

Sturm showed top set with K♠K♥, but it was no good against the flush of his opponent with A♠Q♣.

Ben Tollerene raised to 100,000 under the gun and Thomas Boivin defended his big blind.

Boivin checked the 8♥7♣3♥ flop and Tollerene bet 75,000. Boivin called.

Upon seeing the 5♥ appear on the turn, Boivin led out for 110,000. Tollerene carved out the call.

Boivin didn't slow down on the 10♠ river, as he bet 330,000. Tollerene folded, and Boivin added to his stack.

Winter Doubles Through Tollerene in Dramatic Runout

Ben Tollerene opened the hijack to 105,000 before Sean Winter jammed for 775,000 from the small blind, and Tollerene snapped it off.

Winter was in rough shape but had an overcard. The J♦10♦7♦ flop gave Tollerene top set and Winter picked up a gutter.

No waiting was required on the 8♣ turn as Winter made his straight. The A♦ river failed to fill up Tollerene as neither player held a diamond, and Winter collected the full double.

Brewer Rivers a Straight to Double

Barak Wisbrod raised to 100,000 under the gun and Chris Brewer defended out of the big blind.

Brewer check-called a bet of 75,000 from Wisbrod on the 7♠6♠3♠ flop.

The turn came the A♦ and Brewer check-called another bet from Wisbrod, this time for 200,000.

Brewer's remaining 860,000 got into the middle on the 5♣ river and the cards were revealed. Brewer had rivered a straight with A♥4♠, beating the flopped set of Wisbrod with 7♣7♥.

The 8♥ river quickly checked through as Kulev tabled A♥10♥ for the winner to leave Ivey on a short stack.

Sturm opted to check the K♠A♥2♠ flop, prompting Kisacikoglu to bet 180,000. Sturm called.

The 2♣ turn checked through for the A♠ to appear on the river. Sturm bet 175,000, which Kisacikoglu called.

Sturm turned over a flush with Q♠4♠ to win the pot.

Leonard Maue opened to 105,000 in early position and was called by Jesse Lonis and Seth Davies in position. Alexandros Theologis shoved all in for 1,105,000 from the blinds and Maue reshoved all in, forcing Lonis and Davies out of the pot.

Maue was already visibly frustrated after seeing the cards and started cheering for a nine. The flop of K♥8♦3♦ changed nothing and the J♣ landed on the turn.

"Now put a nine," Theologis joked with Maue already drawing dead to the 3♠ on the river.

Perry was slightly ahead with ace-high, but Kenney had two live cards working for him. The board ran out 8♠2♥5♠Q♦J♣, giving Kenney the winner with a pair of queens on the turn, eliminating Perry from the tournament.
