Wantman Stealing Some Pots

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

On the verge of a small pay jump, the action has slowed down, but that hasn't stopped Matthew Wantman from being very active. On this particular hand, Wantman raised to 80,000 from the cutoff, and Jose Angel Latorre called from the big blind.

The flop arrived with 482, and Latorre checked to the preflop raiser, who bet 50,000. Latorre pulled the check raise and put 150,000 in the pot. Wantman made the call.

On the turn K, Latorre checked, and Wantman put in an intimidating 260,000. Latorre folded and Wantman raked in some more chips.

Action was picked up on a board reading 4Q9. There was 350,000 in the middle, and Chao Duan had shoved for his remaining 340,000 chips. The only other play still in the hand, Fabian Niederreiter, made the call.

Chao Duan: 97 All in

Duan was way behind and in need of a miracle. It didn't come on the 8 turn, but the 9 river gave him trips, as he doubled up and survived.
