Anthony Hu made it 7,000 from early position with Marc Geissel and Lucas Poelker calling from the blinds.
All three checked the Q♦7♠2♠ flop to see the A♦ hit the turn. Geissel and Poelker checked, prompting Hu to bet 17,000. Geissel folded, but Poelker called.
The 6♠ river checked through and Poelker showed a set with K♦8♦7♣7♥. Hu had that beat with A♠A♣10♥Xx for top set.

Ren Lin hit the event just after the dinner break and significantly changed the dynamic of the table to which he was assigned.
Before he even received his starting stack, Lin declared his intentions.
“I’m going all-in on the first hand,” he said.
Well, that is exactly what he ended up doing, getting action from Scott Seiver on a flop of 7♥8♥8♣.
Tony Lin K♥10♥9♦9♠
Scott Seiver A♦A♥Q♥9♣
The J♣ hit on the river, giving Lin the straight and a quick double-up.
“Touchdown, baby!” Lin screamed. “I know how to play PLO.”
Lin then declared he would go all-in again in the next two hands and followed through on the promise, raising the pot preflop on the third set of cards he was dealt.
Eran Carmi reraised with a pot-sized bet, but that didn’t deter Lin, who came over the top with an all-in four-bet.
Carmi gave it some thought, before electing to fold, much to Lin’s chagrin.
“It’s the first time in my life somebody repotted me and folded,” Lin said with a big smile. "I wanted to double up again."
Lin moved from the 50,000 starting stack to 139,000 chips in just three hands.
“Unbelievable,” Carmi said.

On a river reading 6♣9♦3♣K♠5♥, Kamel Mokhammad pushed out a bet of 200,000 - more than enough to put his opponent, former WSOP Player of the Year, Josh Arieh, all in.
Arieh apologized to the table as his tank extended but eventually found the fold while he continued to mull over the hand as the pot was pushed away from him.
Mokhammad was already amongst the chip leaders before being pushed this 100 big blind pot.

Christian Harder came in with a raise from middle position and Bryce Yockey defended out of the big blind.
When the flop came down Q♠9♥8♠, Yockey knuckled the action over to Harder, who bet 3,000. Yockey called.
The two players were happy to check down the 7♣ turn and 6♣ river and Yockey took down the small pot with J♣10♥5♣3♣ for a straight.

Kane Kalas wasted no time while returning from the dinner break. The action was heads-up on the flop as Ryan Hughes bet out 5,500 on a 4♥4♦2♣ board while sitting under the gun. Kane Kalas proceeded to raise it to 22,000. Hughes moved all-in for roughly 40,000 and Kalas quickly made the call.
Ryan Hughes: K♠6♠5♣3♥
Kane Kalas: A♦A♥J♠8♣
Once the 4♣ peeled off, Kalas had successfully secured his double-up.

George Wolff raised to 5,000 under the gun with a commanding stack before Erik Seidel raised to 21,500 on his direct left.
The table folded back to Wolff who chose to throw his hand in the muck.
Their table broke shortly after, as the field continued to consolidate despite there still being two hours left of late registration.

Jonathan Borenstein got his last 16,500 into the middle preflop with Joseph Sanders making the call to try and send him to the rebuy desk.
Jonathan Borenstein: K♠Q♦J♥7♠
Joseph Sanders: A♠K♣Q♥4♥
