Three in a Row for Weiss; Duek Takes All the Profit

Level 29 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Talal Shakerchi limped in with the A883 from under the gun and Dennis Weiss in the big blind checked the 101052 to see the monotone A95 flop, which both players checked. On the 2 turn, they both checked again and saw the Q river for free. No more betting took place and Weiss won the pot with two pair, fives and deuces.

Weiss then potted with the AA85 and claimed the big blind and ante of Shakerchi.

The next pot-sized raise by the German came on the button with AK32 and he got through with it again.

Weiss then potted the 101064 and Michael Duek defended the big blind holding KKQ7. On the AKJ flop, Duek hit middle set and check-called a bet of 1,150,000 by Weiss to then boat up on the A turn. He checked and Weiss checked behind, and did so again on the 3 river to concede all of his previous winnings.

Duek Closes the Gap on Weiss

Level 29 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Dennis Weiss opened to 1,050,000 from the cutoff with KJ62 and Michael Duek defended from the big blind with AKJ7. The flop came A102 and Duek check-called a bet of 1,150,000 from Weiss.

The 10 paired the board on the turn and Duek checked again. Weiss put together another bet of 2,050,000 with his combo draw but Duek still called. The 3 completed the board and Duek checked for the third time. Weiss checked it back after bricking out and Duek closed the gap between himself and the chip leader.

Duek Collects with a Turn Bet

Level 29 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Michael Duek limped in from the cutoff with AJ87 which allowed Dennis Weiss with KQ62 and Talal Shakerchi with AK104 to come along from the blinds.

The flop fell J52 and Weiss led out with a bet of 650,000, holding just a pair deuces. Shakerchi got out of the way but Duek came along with his pair of jacks, the better of the two holdings.

The turn brought the 9 and Weiss checked this time. Duek threw in a bet of 2,000,000 and that was enough to force Weiss out of the pot.

Shakerchi Gives Up

Level 29 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Dennis Weiss raised to 1,050,000 from under the gun with AQ76 and Talal Shakerchi flat-called on his left with 10988.

They went heads-up to a flop of AJJ and Weiss continued with a bet of 950,000. Shakerchi decided to raise to 2,450,000 with just a flush draw. Weiss used one of his time banks and then called.

The turn was the 5 and both players checked to the 3 on the river. Weiss checked again and Shakerchi gave up the charade by checking it back, sending the pot to Weiss with aces-up.

Hakim Doubles Through Shakerchi

Level 29 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Jeffrey Hakim
Jeffrey Hakim

Jeffrey Hakim raised the pot to 1,050,000 on the button with the KK106 and Talal Shakerchi asked him for the stack size before calling in the big blind holding the KQJ9.

The 986 flop saw Shakerchi bet the pot to send his opponent deep into the tank. Eventually, Hakim moved all in for 4,000,000 and Shakerchi called.

The 5 turn and K river changed nothing except for improving Hakim to a set of kings for the double-up.

Duek Finds the Best on the River

Level 29 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Evan Krentzman limped in from the small blind with AJ52 and Michael Duek raised the pot to 900,000 from the big blind. Krentzman called and the flop of 1074 hit the felt.

Both players checked and the A rolled off on the turn. Krentzman checked again and Duek slid out a pot-sized bet of 2,100,000. Krentzman called with top pair and the nut flush draw as the 8 landed on the river.

Both players instantly checked the river and Duek flipped over A853 for two pair to claim the pot.

Shakerchi Takes From Weiss

Level 29 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Talal Shakerchi
Talal Shakerchi

Dennis Weiss potted to 900,000 with the A322 and Talal Shakerchi in the big blind defended the K753 as they headed to the A64 flop. Weiss bet 1,050,000 with his top pair and gutshot, instantly facing a raise to 2,850,000 by Shakerchi with his rundown.

After some consideration, Weiss came along to the 7 turn and checked. Shakerchi had improved to the second nuts and checked it back to the 10 on the river. Weiss checked again and then glanced right at his table neighbor, who made it 4,275,000 to go into a pot of 6,800,000.

After some consideration, Weiss tossed his cards into the muck and said, "Nice hand," to Shakerchi.
