Brannan Keeps Chipping Up

Frank Brannan was one of a few players who asked the floor to go to hand-for-hand before the direct money bubble, which the floor decided not to do at that time. Brannan is one of the big stacks in the room, who continues to turn up the aggression.

In this hand, he raised to 65,000 from the button. Aaron Kupin called from the big blind.

On the A♣K♥7♣ flop, Kupin checked and Brannan bet 125,000. Kupin quickly folded.

"I had almost as bad as possible," Brannan said as he showed 6♦5♦4♠3♣.

Daniel Geeng opened the hijack to 50,000 before seeing a three-bet from Shaun Deeb in the small blind. Deeb had raised to 170,000, which was a large portion of his remaining stack.

Geeng called, and the pair saw a J♦2♦9♠ flop. Deeb then used all his remaining time banks in order and try and squeeze in the money, should he lose the hand. After a few minutes, Deeb moved all but one of his chips into the middle, leaving a 5,000 chip behind. Geeng raised to commit Deeb, who waited his allotted 30 seconds before calling.

Geeng had flopped two pair and currently had the lead.

The turn 6♣ was no help to Deeb, and the river 10♣ confirmed that he would not be making the money of this tournament, and he headed to the exit.

Over at Table 658, Ryan Riess is a short stack. He had 125,000 chips in the big blind and decided to use all of his time banks while facing a raise from Daniel Geeng. Hasan Onay and Chino Rheem had a bit of a back and forth, before Shaun Deeb played peacemaker.

"Huss is good people,", Deeb told Rheem. "Huss is great people,", Rheem responded, letting Deeb know that he's familiar with Onay.

Meanwhile, Riess eventually folded.

Onay then decided to use 2 time banks from under the gun, before eventually folding.

The spirits seem to be light, considering we are three eliminations from the money.

The action folded around to Isaac Haxton in the small blind who made it 60,000 to go. Jesse Lonis called from the big blind and the flop of 9♠6♦4♦ hit the flop.

Haxton continued with a bet of 85,000 and Lonis called to see the Q♦ on the turn. Both players checked and the 10♠ completed the board. Two more checks and Haxton turned over Q♥9♦8♦5♥ for a flush.

"We could've had some fun on that flop," Lonis pointed out as he tabled 8x7x6x5x.

"I guess I could've bet the river," Haxton said to himself.

8♠7♥3♥ was the flop, and Guerra led out for 36,000. Eldridge called, Brandt folded and Winter called as well.

The turn was the 3♦, and Guerra continued to bet. This time he bet 75,000. Eldridge got out of the way, but Winter called again.

On the K♣ river, Guerra paused and asked the dealer to count the pot. The pot was over 300,000, but Guerra decided to bet 65,000. Winter looked confused, confirmed the amount, and made the call.
