Action was followed from the 2A3 flop, with Mark Evangelista in the small blind and Mathias Bayer in the big blind.

Both the blinds checked the flop and Cassandra Yong bet 3,000. Evangelista mucked his hand and Bayer raised to 8,500. Yong made the call.

The 9 was turned and Bayer bet out 15,500. Yong called behind and the players were taken to the 2 river.

Bayer took some time before moving his stack in, but Yong snap called and covered Bayer.

Yong showed pocket three's, and she took down the pot, having made a set on the flop and a boat on the river.

Bayer was eliminated in the hand just before the break and another player at the table commented to Yong, "You've got piles of chips now.". Yong responded with "I was not folding that, when he went all in I was so excited.". Another friend passed the table and also remarked, saying "Wow, that's a lot of chips."

Yong accelerated into the top five chip counts after the hand, after only just jumping into the field.
