Goldberg Gets Glaser

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Fred Goldberg
Fred Goldberg

Fred Goldberg was all in and at risk from the big blind, with 12,000 in the middle. Benny Glaser covered him from middle position.

Fred Goldberg: A2All in
Benny Glaser: AK

Glaser was ahead on the 6Q6 flop, but Goldberg hit a 2 on the turn.

A pair of deuces was enough to take the pot and double up Goldberg as the J river didn't change anything.

The pair shared some talk after the hand, with Glaser asking Goldberg, "You only looked at one?".
Goldberg responded "It was the ace of hearts my friend, you want me to look at everything?....I had 12,000."

Glaser was left short after the hand and was seen leaving the tournament area soon after.

Although Glaser was out of this bracelet event, he already shipped two events this summer, the $1,500 Mixed Games: Dealers Choice 6-Handed (Bracelet Event #8) and the $ 1,500 Mixed Omaha 8 or Better 7-Handed (Bracelet Event #15) for a combined win of $408,439.

Aronowitz Has Too Many Outs; Ji Doubles

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Chunhui Ji and Matthew Aronowitz were all in with cards on their back preflop.

Chunhui Ji: 88 All in
Matthew Aronowitz: AQ

The flop was a sweat for both parties as it fanned out J410, adding to Aronowitz's outs. The 9 added even further to them as he picked up the flush draw but Ji secured the full double when the 6 fell.

Ivanov Flushes Bevilacqua out on the River

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Stanislav Ivanov
Stanislav Ivanov

Action was followed after Carl Bevilacqua on the button had jammed for his remaining stack of 11,500. Stanislav Ivanov was the only other player in the hand and deliberated before making a call from the cutoff.

Carl Bevilacqua: 77All in
Stanislav Ivanov: 109

Bevilacqua was looking to hold, and he even improved on the K74 flop.

There were some signs of what was to come, as Ivanov had picked up a club flush draw.

The 3 was turned and Ivanov's chances to steal went down, but the Q river put him right back in, and he knocked out Bevilaqua from the freezeout.

Bevilaqua is relatively new to the WSOP, having only a few recorded cashes in Las Vegas dating back to 2021. Ivanov has been playing in the WSOP each year since 2023 and has already cashed three WSOP bracelet events this summer alone.

Evan Benton
Evan Benton

Evan Benton, the defending champion of this event, was heads up to a river reading 84Q99 and he placed a small bet of 6,000 on the river.

Hugo Fouchardiere responded for an all in that was effectively 43,000. Benton went into the tank, counting his stack twice before eventually making the call.

Fouchardiere tabled the Q10 for the rivered flush and Benton tabled his QJ in defeat before congratulating his table mates on a good game.

Hutchinson Cuffed on the Turn

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

A short-stacked Dean Hutchison was all in preflop against the slightly covering stack of Charlie Cuff.

Dean Hutchison: KJ All in
Charlie Cuff: AA

The flop was clean for cuff as the dealer presented the 286 and when the 6 came off the deck, Hutchinson was already out of his chair with his backpack equipped when the meaningless Q fell.
