Fitzgerald Triples Up with Jacks

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Play was underway with a main pot of around 60,000 and a side pot of around 30,000. Kurt Fitzgerald, all-in on the main pot was waiting with Jeremy Wien and Marius Gierse for the dealer to fan out the flop.

The flop came Q9A. Wien bet 45,000 which was enough push Gierse out of the side. Wien scooped the side pot and headed to showdown against Fitzgerald.

Kurt Fitzgerald: JJ All in
Jeremy Wien: 109

Wien had bottom pair but couldn't beat Fitzgerald's jacks. The runout 73 didn't improve Wien's hand. The dealer awarded the main pot to Fitzgerald, resulting in a triple up for him.
