Kalisek Finds a King to Take Out Zhang

Sihao Zhang was already all in on the button for his remaining 150,000. Clayton Kalisek was the only other player in the hand and covered him from a late position.

Zhang was ahead until the K2J flop, which saw Kalisek pair up. The 6 turn and 2 river sealed Zhangs fate, and he was eliminated just before the last level of the day.

No Sweat for Smajd

Anze Smajd opened on the button to 30,000. Jinlong Hu in the big blind reraised to 100,000. Smajd shoved all in for 325,000 and Hu snap-called leading them to a showdown.

Smajd didn't even have to sweat so much when the flop came 3J10 giving him a set. The runout KK improved both his hand to a full house and his stack doubled.

Aces No Good for Pichierri

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

David Froyalde opened the button to 30,000 and Jessica Cai defended the big blind.

The players saw a 969 flop and Cai checked. Froyalde bet 25,000 which was enough to get Cai to fold, having only 150,000 chips behind.

A few hands later on the same table Alessandro Pichierri opened to 30,000 from an early position and Antonio Vargas, who was sat to Pichierri's direct left, raised to 70,000. Pichierri was all in and Vergas made the call.

Pichierri was hoping to hold, but the 10410 flop gave Vargas the lead. Pichierri couldn't find a way back on the 5 turn and 8 river and was eliminated from the tournament despite spinning his stack back from 35,000 in the previous level. ,

Getzen Gets It in with Blackjack

Scott Margereson raise in late position to 40,000 and when it folded to Nicholas Getzen he made mention he wasn't sure if he had any fold equity with his opponents' effective stack. After a short deliberation he went all in for 300,000. Margereson made the call.

The flop came K83 and Getzen was elated to see the J on the turn, especially when he dodged the six when the 8 completed the board.

Laurence Stein opened to 40,000 from middle position and David Froyalde called from the cutoff. Josselin Gardes three-bet to 150,000 and Stien four-bet jammed. Froyadale folded and Gardes called, putting his remaining 150,000 stack at risk.

The 5AJ flop saw Gardes move into the lead. Stien didn't recover on the 4 turn or 8 river, and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Duan and Adib Chop It Up

Action folded to Yassine Adib who jammed from the small blind with only Jiaofang Duan left to act in the big blind.

Duan snap called and turned over Ace-King suited. Adib also turned over Ace-King and the players went to the runout.

Duan was looking for hearts, but the 885 flop didn't bring in anything for Duan and the players chopped the pot after seeing the 8 turn and 9 river.

Sondhi Doubles Through Dempsey

Vikas Sondhi went all in for for 385,000 and Johnathan Dempsey made the call a few seats to his left.

Sondhi was on the edge of his seat, rooting for top pair as the 1029 hit the felt. The K was no help to him either but when the A completed the board he clapped his hands in celebration as he secured the double-up.
