David Marshall raised to 24,000 and it folded to Hugues Girard who called in the big blind.
Both checked on the 5♥3♣2♥ flop and a 5♦ fell on the turn. Girard bet for 18,000 and Marshall made the call.
The 7♥ completed the board and Girard sent a few 25,000 chips into the middle, putting Marshall at risk for his last 84,000. The latter snap-called. Girard tabled 4♦5♣ for trips but Marshall had 9♥6♥ for the flush and took down the double up.
Play was already underway with Danserban Borlan and Jeffrey Rospond all-in both below the average stack and looking for a chance to chip up.
Jeffrey Rospond: Q♠Q♣
Danserban Borlan: 3♥3♣
Rospond had a shorter stack and was waiting to see if his queens would hold. After fixing the cards in the middle, the dealer finally fanned out the board 10♦7♠J♥K♠10♥. Rospond scored a much-needed double up.
Anthony Scarborough open-shoved for his last 50,000 on the button, holding J♦7♣, and Leo Margets snap-called with 7♦7♥ in the big blind.
No miracle came for Scarborough throughout the board 6♦8♦K♦6♥10♣ and he was eliminated from the event.
Action was picked up with Arie Kliper in late position and Benjamin Primus in the big blind in an all-in showdown and waiting for the dealer to peel the board.
Benjamin Primus: Q♠Q♦
Arie Kliper: 3♠3♣
Primus lead was strengthened when the flop came J♣10♥A♦ giving him additional outs to improve his hand. The Q♣ turn boosted his chance for a double-up as it gave him a set. The A♥ river gave him a full house cementing his chips to double.
After taking a huge hit, losing a preflop race with A♠K♦ against Richard Pipe's J♥J♠, Jessica Cai was down to just 22,000 chips. Two hands later, she was back in the mix.
She won the first hand with 7♣7♠ against Joe Hindry's A♦7♦ and the board came 2♠10♥10♠Q♥J♦. On the second hand, she went all in against Hindry again, this time as a huge underdog.
Jessica Cai: 5♠5♥
Joe Hindry: K♠K♣
Cai, who is on her third cash of the series, improved immediately on the flop, as the door card gave her a set, and that was the winning hand through the runout of 6♣3♥5♣4♥9♠.
Jalil Mekouane raised to 25,000 and Jampana Appalaraju three-bet to 66,000 next to him. It came back to Mekouane who made the call.
The flop went J♠8♣4♣ and Mekouane check-called Appalaraju's continuation for 59,000. On the K♥ turn, Mekouane checked again and Appalaraju fired 165,000. Mekouane shoved and Appalaraju snap-called, at risk for a remaining stack around 190,000.
Jampana Appalaraju: A♣Q♣
Jalil Mekouane: K♦J♦
Mekouane had hit two pair and the river 3♦ bricked to send Appalaraju to the payout desk.
In a heads-up pot with 7♦K♣9♣ on the flop, Yoel Selles Meijer checked in the small blind before raising to 100,000 a bet worth 40,000 from David Hoote. The latter went deep into the tank and ended up folding after the clock has been called.
Meijer tabled 5♦5♣ before grabbing the pot.
