Cecchini Flops a Pair, Eliminates Manzure

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Felipe Manzure open-jammed for 35,000 in late position and was joined by the big blind Fabrice Cecchini for a heads-up showdown.

Felipe Manzure: JJ All in
Fabrice Cecchini: AJ

The window card made Manzure stand from his seat when the dealer fanned out AK2. The 10 made him pause a bit as the turn gave both him Cecchini more outs for a gutshot straight draw and a possible chop. The 4 dropped and ended any hope for Manzure to continue his run.

Cecchini scooped the pot as Manzure left the floor.

Morse Coded and He's Out

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Russell Morse was desperate to avoid being one of the slew of eliminations moments after the bubble burst, but with so few ships left, he had to make a move. Ronald Jackson took a while before making the call.

Russell Morse: 56All in
Ronald Jackson: 106

The runout of 2QK32 did not resuscitate Morse's hand, as the turn brought him an inside straight draw that didn't get home.

Michael Acevedo pushed all in and got a call from Robert James.

Michael Acevedo: 1010All in

The flop was promising for Acevedo, but on the full runout 492AA brought aces on the turn and river, to knock him out of the tournament.

Wilkinson Doubles on Sordo

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Santiago Nadal Sordo raised under the gun and it folded to Hardey Karem who called in the small blind before Adam Wilkinson shoved in the big blind for around 135,000. Sordo tanked and reshoved for slightly more and Karem let it go:

Adam Wilkinson: AQ All in
Santiago Nadal Sordo: JJ

The board came 21095Q and Wilkinson found a queen on the river to double up.

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Stephen Song raised to 12,000 from under the gun, and Antoine Goutard three-bet to 35,000 from the cutoff. Song made the call.

The dealer fanned a 599 flop. Song checked, Goutard bet 22,000, and Song called.

In poker, like in life, they say records are meant to be broken.

But sometimes, someone sets a milestone that just feels impossible to top. Whether it’s because of insane skill, perfect timing, a bit of luck, or a mix of all three, the World Series of Poker has seen some feats over the years that seem like they’ll never be matched.

However, while all records may eventually fall, these achievements are currently some of the most jaw-dropping in WSOP history. Will any of them ever be broken? Only time will tell. For now, though, here are the most incredible WSOP records that will (probably) never be broken.
