2025 World Series of Poker
Stefan Reiser opened to 500,000 from early position, leaving only around 100,000 behind. Action folded around to Richard Alati in the big blind who moved in 2,000,000. Reiser called off the rest of his stack and the players went to the runout.
Stefan Reiser: K♥10♥
Richard Alati: A♠9♠
Alati hit an Ace on the 4♠A♥6♠ flop, putting him further ahead.
The K♦ turn wasn't enough of an improvement for Reiser to keep him alive, and he was eliminated after seeing the 2♦ river.
Karl Pineault opened to 160,000 in late position and James Carroll flatted from the small blind.
Heads up they saw the Q♦5♦J♦ scroll across. Carroll check-called a bet of 155,000 from Pineault.
Action slowed, as both players checked, on the 6♣ turn.
The river completed with the 7♣ and Carroll placed a minimum bet of 80,000. Pineault shrugged and put the call in.
Carroll tabled 10♥10♣ and Pineault was unable to beat it.
Maximilien Reele raised to 200,000 from late position. Bruno Fuentes then three-bet to 575,000, the rest of the table folded, and Reele made the call.
The players saw a 10♥J♥4♥ flop, Reele checked, Fuentes bet 275,000, and Reele's cards hit the muck
Ignacio Moron went all in with 1,240,000 chips. Laith Edris made the call.
Ignacio Moron: A♣K♦
Laith Edris: A♥J♣
Moron had the edge with the bigger kicker, and that would have been enough to take the hand. But the runout 8♣4♦10♦3♦K♥ gave him a pair of kings on the river to win a nice chunk of chips.
John Oneal went all in from the button and Christian Chung called for all of his chips in the big blind.
Christian Chung: 10♠10♦
John Oneal: 9♦9♥
Chung's better pocket pair did the job when neither player connected with the board runout of 7♣Q♠4♥5♣2♣.
Jared Ward was all in and at risk for roughly 1,000,000 in the small blind and was up against Adam Walton in the big blind.
Jared Ward: K♦Q♣
Adam Walton: A♠K♠
The dealer ran out a board of 9♣3♠K♣10♠3♦, sending Ward to the rail.
Draxton Amador opened from middle position to 160,000 and Samuel Taylor called from the big blind.
The 10♣6♥5♦ flop was checked by both to get to the J♥ turn.
Taylor bet out 135,000 and Amador called.
Both players checked down the 6♦ river, and Taylor was first to show 7♦7♠ and Amador mucked his hand.
David Scatchard raised in early position to 160,000 and it folded around to Luis Faria in the big blind, who made it 375,000. Scatchard chose to go all in and Faria made the call.
David Scatchard: 8♥8♣
Luis Faria: A♥A♦
The board ran out 7♠9♣2♥7♣6♦ and a disappointed Scatchard tapped the table in defeat as Faria collected the pot.
Benjamin Gros raised to 160,000 from early position, and Justin Saliba moved all in for 1,435,000 from middle position. Chris Moorman then reshoved with both players covered. Gros folded, and Saliba and Moorman were in a classic coin-flip situation.
Justin Saliba: A♣K♦
Chris Moorman: Q♥Q♣
The board ran out Q♠K♥9♣7♥3♣, sending Saliba to the payout desk.
