Broadway for Morris

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action was picked up on a board reading Q7A8 with 45,000 in the middle. Ryan Conrad ripped his stack of 15,000 into the middle, and Arthur Morris snapped him off, saying, "I'm on a flush."

Ryan Conrad: AQ96 All in
Arthur Morris: KJ106

Conrad was in the lead with top two, the nut diamond draw, and an open-ender. Morris, however, had plenty of outs, with any non-board pairing card above an eight giving him the nut straight. He also had hearts working for him. The K river did indeed improve him to the nuts, and he sent Conrad home.

Ladenburg Gets Counterfeited to Bust

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Erik Ladenburg was short-stacked and committed the last of his 5,000 chips before the flop, with William Meeks making the call to try to bust him.

Erik Ladenburg: Q932 All in
William Meeks: KK62

Meeks was ahead with his two kings, but a lot could change with five cards to come. The 94A flop gave Ladenburg a pair of nines. Ladenburg improved to two pair on the Q turn, but the A appeared on the river to counterfeit that two pair. Meeks' pocket kings won the pot, and Ladenburg was out.

Soulier Blocked Off

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Three players still had cards on a flop of JQ3 and they all got their stacks in on this street, with William Mcmahan covering.

Fabrice Soulier: KK32 All in
Gary Jablonski: AJ108 All in
William Mcmahan: QQ99

Mcmahan had flopped the nuts with top set, but still had to hold against plenty of outs. Jablonski was drawing to the nut flush and broadway. Soulier, although he would've been drawing extremely live against either of these opponents heads up, realised he was heading home unless he got an extremely specific runout. His diamonds were covered, and even if he managed to hit a set, it would give Soulier Broadway. He had already mucked his cards by the time the 7 turn was dealt, and the 5 river locked it up for Mcmahan.

Mehamed Fills Up

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action was picked up on a flop of 447. Andrew Kappes shoved, and Alan Mehamed called.

Andrew Kappes: Q10109 All in
Alan Mehamed: AA43

The 3 turn seemed to be a good one for Kappes, as he hit his flush, however he soon realized he was drawing dead as Mehamed had boated up, making the J river inconsequential.

Gossn Rivers it

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Following some questions preflop about the legality of a back-raise, three players saw a flop, with one (Angel Modica) all in, as it had been deemed that the all-in was an under raise, and action was closed. The flop came down 1039 and Leonidas Andriopoulos made the shove he had wanted to preflop. Juan Pablo Gossn called.

Angel Modica: AAK2 All in
Juan Gossn: K963 All in
Leonidas Andriopoulos: AAQJ

Andriopoulos was well in the lead equity-wise, with an overpair alongside his open-ender, however the J6runout would give Gossn the win in the most unlikely manner, as he rivered two pair to scoop.

One Pair Good Four Stoessl.

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

One pair being good at showdown is a rare sight in PLO. It's even rarer when it happens in a three-way all-in, and that pairs happens to be one of the lowest, however that was the sequence that allowed Daniel Stoessl to triple up.

Stoessl potted it from under the gun, to 2,800, and received callers in Jarred Jaffee and Alejandro Avendano. Steve Sebbag then made it 6,100 on the button. Stoessl shoved, Avendano reshoved, and Sebbag made the call.

Daniel Stoessl: AKQ4 All in
Alejandro Avendano: K1075 All in
Steve Sebbag: AK103

The board ran out 4J969 and after some deliberation trying to find out who had what, it was revealed that Stroessl, using his ace and his four, had connected the most with the board, as he laughed while taking in the pot. Sebbag's ace-king used as kickers were enough to send Avendano out.

Weisman Unable to Retain Title

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Dylan Weisman
Dylan Weisman

Reigning champion Dylan Weisman has not been able to go back-to-back, as he has already busted before Day 1's dinner break. After registering in Level 5, his first bullet only had him on the felt for just over an hour. The next lasted only 16 minutes, as he entered and left for the second time without progressing from Level 6. His third and final bullet, again, lasted merely more than an hour, as he exited with no possibility of an extra reentry.

The double bracelet winner won't be too upset, however, as there are still plenty of PLO events scheduled that he'll have his eye on.

King's Nuts Knock Out Two Players

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ngoc Nguyen found himself all in preflop, contesting a side pot worth 19,000 with two other players. Anthony Hu and Caleb King had their own side pot, of 35,000, when the three saw a flop of 7105. Hu shoved for 41,000, and King called before his opponent's chips were even in the middle.

Ngoc Nguyen: AK86 All in
Anthony Hu: JJ99 All in
Caleb King: AQQ2

Hu had an overpair and a gutshot, however King had a better overpair. Nguyen was open-ended with hearts, but King also had better hearts. King's Queens were in the lead, and lost it instantly on the 4 turn, giving Nguyen the nuts. The 3 river gave the lead back to King, who scooped.
