Michael Lin
Michael Lin

There was some Michael on Michael violence at the table as Michael Lin potted from middle position, before Michael Trivett repotted on the button. It was enough to put Lin all in, and he called for his tournament life.

Michael Lin: A1095 All in
Michael Trivett: AA109

Lin was dominated, and the 7QKA7 runout didn't help him to escape, as only three Michaels remain in the competition.

Action went multi-way to a flop of 529 in a limped pot. Adel Jo led out for 200,000 in the small blind and the under-the-gun Ken Okada moved all in for 480,000 to put himself at risk. Action folded back around to Jo who quickly called.

Ken Okada: AQ22 All in
Adel Jo: 5542

Jo's set of fives remained best over Okada's set of deuces as the board ran out 3, 7 to send Okada packing.

Michael Trivett

The very hand after having his stack decimated by a brutal river, Michael Trivett found himself in the small blind, with action on him. Only having 75,000 left, he shoved blind into Vadim Shlez, who called blind, Trivett sweated his cards one by one.

Michael Trivett: Q1032 All in
Vadim Shlez: J533

It seemed as though Trivett was on track to stay alive, as he turned a straight on 4465 but the 7 river gave his opponent a higher straight, sending him home.

Catching the action on the river of a board that showed K8A10Q and with over 1,000,000 in the pot. Amnon Filippi jammed from the small blind to put Samuel Del Castillo all in out of the big blind. Castillo made the call for his last 200,000.

Castillo revealed a baby flush with A952, but was second best to Filippi's higher flush with AJJ4. The pot was pushed to Filippi and Castillo was out in 19th.

Scott Dulaney opened action up to 125,000 from middle position, and Jason Lang flatted his bet. Michael Reed then potted to 525,000 in the big blind, leaving only 100,000 behind. The other two players called.

Reed then shoved on the A25 flop, and both players called again, before checking down the J turn and 7 river. Reed's 10x9x8x8x was no good against Dulaney's AKQJ. Lang showed A663.

Michael Monroig: AK76All in
Punnat Punsri: KQJ5

Monroig was drawing dead to runner-runner full house outs, and when the 10 fell on the turn it was all over, the irrelevant 8 came on the river, and Monroig was sent to the rail in 17th place.

Five players went to a flop of A3J, after Qiaonan Liu, Amnon Filippi, Scott Dulaney, and Matthew Beck all limped, and Jason Stockfish checked his option. Filippi bet 225,000 into a pot of 360,000 after being checked to, and Beck was his only caller.

Beck checked for a second time on the 5 turn, and Filippi bet out for 475,000. Beck potted to put him all in, and he couldn't have made a quicker call if he tried.

Amnon Filippi: AJ74 All in
Matthew Beck: QJJ10

Beck was ahead with his set, but Filippi had plenty of ways to win the hand, with two gutshots, a flush draw, and also boat outs. He completely bricked on the 8 river, and he left the table in disbelief.

Bryce Yockey raised to 140,000 from early position, and received two callers: Matthew Beck on the button, and Vadim Shlez from the big blind. The three went off to a flop of 635 and Shlez open shoved his remaining 325,000. Yockey folded, and Beck checked his cards one more time before calling.

Vadim Shlez: Q1095 All in
Matthew Beck: AJ74

"That's gonna be hard to beat," said Shlez upon seeing that he'd run into the nuts. He was indeed correct, as the 26 runout sent him home during the final level of Day 2.
