Haxton Doubles Through Kornuth

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Isaac Haxton limped in under the gun. Juha Helppi followed suit in the cutoff before Chance Kornuth made it 13,500 on the button. Fabian Riebau-Schmithals defended his big blind, and Haxton tossed in a call as well.

Helppi folded, leading to a three-way flop of 95J, which checked around. It checked to Kornuth again on the 5 turn, but this time he bet 18,000. Riebau-Schmithals called, but Haxton raised to 58,000.

When Kornuth called, Riebau-Schmithals folded, and the 2 river was dealt. Haxton bet the pot of 180,500, leaving only 2,500 behind. Kornuth put in the rest, and Haxton quickly called off.

Kornuth tabled AJ54 for fives full of jacks, but Haxton had jacks full of fives with JJ93, and raked in a double-up.
