2025 World Series of Poker
Action went heads-up to a flop of A♣10♦3♦ in a hand between Richard Gryko in the small blind and Shaun Deeb who was under the gun.
Gryko led out for 20,000 and Deeb called, bringing the 9♦ turn. Gryko bet 60,000 and Deeb called again.
On the 2♣ river, Gryko potted it for 193,000 and Deeb took some time to think through his decision before making the call.
Deeb saw the bad news when Gryko tabled A♠A♦6♣5♦ for the nut flush.
Daniel Negreanu limped from under the gun as did Chongxian Yang from middle position. Eelis Parssinen raised pot to 11,000 from middle position and both Negreanu and Yang called.
The flop came J♦4♠6♣, Negreanu and Yang both check-called Parssinen's 19,000 continuation bet and the players saw the K♦ peel off on the turn. Again Negreanu and Yang both check-called Parssinen's bet which was now 68,000.
On the 10♥ river Negreanu moved all in for 162,500. Yang folded and now Parssinen went into the tank using two time banks before he made the call.
'Two Pair' announced Negreanu, 'Which Ones?' asked Parssinen. 'Oh Shit!' exclaimed Negreanu knowing that his jacks-up was probably no good as he tabled Q♥Q♦J♣4♦ and he was right as Parssinen flipped over K♠J♥10♠9♠ for a better two pair and sent Negreanu off to reenter!
In a blind-on-blind battle, Ilya Nikiforov and Dylan Weisman arrived on the J♦9♠8♣10♦7♠ river. Nikiforov checked to Weisman, who made a pot-sized bet of 72,000.
Nikiforov spent some time in the tank before he tossed in a calling chip. Weisman showed A♥K♠K♦10♠ for a pair of kings, but Nikiforov had a straight to the queen with Q♣8♥9♣5♦ and was awarded the pot.
There was roughly 31,000 chips in the middle on 6♠K♦Q♠2♥4♥, Ronald Keijzer bet 30,000 from the small blind and got called by Lautaro Guerra in middle position.
Keijzer tabled 2♦2♠3♦9♦ for a set and Guerra mucked.
Jesse Lonis raised to 7,000 from under the gun and was called by Quan Zhou in middle position and Brian Batt in the big blind.
Action checked through on the 9♦J♣2♦ flop.
The turn was the 2♥, Batt checked, Lonis bet 16,000, Zhou called, and Batt folded.
The river was the K♣. Lonis bet 48,000 this round, which got a fold from Zhou.
Allan Le raised to 6,000 under the gun. Farid Jattin tossed in a call in the cutoff, and Alex Foxen did so on the button. Sam Stein then defended his big blind, and the quartet saw a flop of 8♥4♦K♣.
It checked to Foxen, who bet 13,000. All three opponents called, after which the 3♦ turn was checked through. The 9♣ river was checked to Foxen again, who spent one time extension before firing 48,000 in the middle.
Stein made a quick call, prompting Le and Jattin to fold. Foxen sighed and only briefly flashed a king before Stein tabled Q♣5♠4♠4♣ to take the pot with a set.
Chongxian Yang raised to 6,000 on the button and Sean Rafael defended in the big blind.
The flop came 10♠8♥Q♣ and Rafael check-called a bet of 8,000 from Yang.
The 10♥ turn and 2♦ river both went check-check and Yang tabled the winner with A♠Q♥7♥2♠ for two pair, queens and tens with an ace kicker, besting the Q♦J♠8♠4♦ of Rafael.
Action picked up on the turn in a hand between Quan Zhou who was under the gun and Chance Kornuth in middle position.
With about 75,000 in the middle and the board reading 8♦Q♥A♣4♠, Zhou check-called a bet of 70,000 from Kornuth.
On the 4♣ river, Zhou checked again and Kornuth thought for a moment before opting to check back.
Zhou turned over A♦Q♠J♣9♠ while Kornuth tabled A♠Q♣9♣8♠. Both players had two-pair, aces and queens, resulting in a split pot.
Sam Stein raised to 6,000 from early position and was called by Farid Jattin in the big blind.
The dealer spread a 9♣3♦4♥ flop. Jattin led out for 9,500, and Stein called.
The turn card was the 3♥. This time, Jattin bet 20,000, which got Stein to toss his cards into the muck.
