Day 2 of Event #57: $50,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha has concluded here at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, and we are down to 11 players.

There was a total of 192 entries in the field, with 32 late registrations today to go along with the 62 players who managed to find a bag on Day 1.

The prize pool totaled $9,215,000, with a $100,000 min-cash for the top 30 finishers, and a first-place prize of $2,146,414 along with a WSOP bracelet.

Stephen Chidwick headlined this elite field, playing with surgical precision and catching some well-timed luck.

Chidwick opened up his day by sending Lou Garza to the rail with a dominating flush. He then consistently built his stack throughout the day, showcasing why he is considered one of the best players on the planet.

He then found a one-outer against Alex Foxen in the late stages to secure the chip lead, but met with some late-game adversity, finishing the day fifth in chips after losing a big pot to Dirk Gerritse who held a set of aces.

Biao Ding found monumental success in one of the world’s toughest fields. Ding was able to balloon his stack by sending Evan Krentzman to the rail with a turned straight, making no notable mistakes throughout the day, and eliminating Evan Krentzman for a massive amount of chips.

Action was joined just as the dealer revealed the turn on a 6774 board, and roughly 600,000 in the pot.

Youness Barakat was first to act, as the big blind, and put out a bet of 350,000. Manuel Stojanovic proceeded with a call.

The river brought the 3, and Barakat opted to check. Stojanovic was ready to play a bigger pot and bet 500,000. Barakat took his time to consider the board and his options, but ultimately decided to call.

Stojanovic delivered the bad news, announcing that he had quads and tabling AQ77. Barakat returned his cards face down to the dealer, and Stojanovic dragged in the pot.

Stephen Chidwick has lost a few pots from what was a huge chip lead earlier. In this hand, he raised to 350,000 from under the gun. Dirk Gerritse then raised the pot from the small blind, a total of 1,150,000. Chidwick made the call.

The flop came 853 and Gerritse checked it over to Chidwick, who bet 350,000. Gerritse made the call.

The turn brought the Q, and Gerritse checked again. Chidwick bet 400,000 this time. Gerritse called again.

Both players checked on the A river, and Gerritse revealed the AAJ6 for three aces, and he won the pot.

Level 21 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Dylan Linde raised to 350,000 under the gun. Frank Crivello called in the cutoff, as did Manuel Stojanovic in the big blind.

Stojanovic checked to Linde on the 649 flop, who went all in for about a pot-sized bet. Crivello quickly called, prompting Stojanovic to get out of the way.

Frank Crivello: AK109

Crivello Doubles Through Jattin

Level 21 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Action folded to Frank Crivello in the small blind, who only had Farid Jattin in the big blind to contend with.

As quick as a flash, the stacks found themselves in the middle. Crivello limped, Jattin raised, and Crivello announced "pot." Before the bet amount had been confirmed, Jattin had moved all in. Crivello wasted no time in calling, and, as the shorter of the two stacks, found himself at risk.

Frank Crivello: AK107 All in
Farid Jattin: AA73

Crivello found some help on the 104J flop, which provided him with a straight draw.

The turn brought instant service, coming the Q to give him Broadway.

Jattin needed a spade river to retake the lead and eliminate Crivello, but the J was no help, and instead Jattin slid a big portion of his stack over to his tablemate.

Seidel also checked the 4 river, after which Lau bet 200,000. After some thought, Seidel slammed in calling chips.
