Duek Doubles Up

Level 18 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Michael Duek
Michael Duek

It folded to Michael Duek in the small blind, who raised to 150,000. Duek only had 120,00 behind, and was put all in by Alex Foxen in the big blind. Duek made a quick call, revealing the cards.

Michael Duek: AK97 All in
Alex Foxen: AQ96

Foxen flopped a flush draw on 53A for some extra outs. The 8 turn removed some outs for Foxen as a six would make Duek a straight, and the 3 river saw Duek's ace-king hold for a double-up.

"Go back to your tables, nits!" Duek yelled to the gathered onlookers as he stacked up his chips.

Biao Ding limped in from the hijack before Youness Barakat raised to 180,000 on the button. The action folded back to Ding, who made the call.

Both players checked the QQJ flop, but when Ding checked for a second time on the Q turn, Barakat put out a bet of 115,000, which Ding called.
