In the final hand of the previous level, Stephen Chidwick raised to 75,000 in early position. Dan Cates called in middle position, and Jason Mercier did so on the button.
The three players checked through the 9♥7♣J♠ flop before Chidwick bet 75,000 on the 8♥ turn. Cates called, but Mercier got out of the way.
Chidwick checked the 6♦ river over to Cates, who bet 250,000, about two-thirds of his stack. Chidwick quickly put in the rest, and Cates made a frustrated fold as he was left with just over three big blinds for the new level.
Level: 17
Blinds: 20,000/40,000
Ante: 40,000
Biao Ding raised to 100,000 from the cutoff, and only Farid Jattin called from the small blind.
The pair saw a Q♣4♥7♥ flop, and action checked through. The 3♥ saw Jattin lead out for 100,000 and Ding make the call.
Jattin put out a much more substantial bet of 340,000 on the 3♠ river, and Ding made the immediate call.
Jattin tabled K♥10♣9♥5♣ for the second nut flush, but received the bad news when Ding showed A♥K♦10♥9♣ for the nut flush.
Alex Foxen raised from early position to 75,000. Only David Wang called in the big blind.
The flop was 9♠7♥5♠ and Wang bet pot. Foxen instantly repotted, and Wang called for all of his chips.
David Wang: 7♦7♣2♠2♣
Alex Foxen: Q♥10♣8♥6♠
The turn was the 4♦ but the river 9♦ gave Wang the full house he needed to stay in the tournament.
Jason Mercier raised to 75,000 in early position. Allan Le called in the cutoff, as did the short-stacked Jared Bleznick in the big blind.
Bleznick went all in for 45,000 on the 5♥9♣Q♣ flop, which Mercier raised to 90,000. Le then made it 240,000 to go, and Mercier called.
Le made a pot-sized bet on the 10♦ turn, prompting Mercier to check-fold.
Jared Bleznick: K♣J♦10♣7♦
Allan Le: A♠K♦Q♠4♦
Bleznick's turned straight remained the nuts on the 3♠ river, and he celebrated as he survived seven spots away from the money.
Richard Gryko opened from under the gun to 90,000 and Martin Kabrhel moved 255,000 of his 260,000 stack into the middle. Action folded around to Gryko and he forced Kabrhel all in by raising to 515,000. Kabrhel asked for a count before saying "I like to play with Mr I only play Aces." and called off with his remaining 5,000 chip.
Martin Kabrhel: A♠A♦3♣2♥
Richard Gryko: A♣K♥J♣8♠
Kabrhel was ahead with the aces, and things stayed that way on the 6♦K♣7♣ flop, although Gryko had a flush draw.
The 9♥ turn brought in a straight draw for Gryko, and the 10♣ secured him the pot, having hit a club flush.
At another table, Artur Martirosian was also eliminated from the High Roller.
Manuel Stojanovic raised from the hijack to 75,000, and only Joni Jouhkimainen called on the button.
Stojanovic check-called a bet of 80,000 on the 5♥3♥8♠ flop, to see at least one more card.
The turn was a flush completing Q♥, and when Stojanovic checked for a second time, Jouhkimainen bet again, this time for 95,000. Again, Stojanovic called.
The dealer revealed the Q♦ river card, and Stojanovic opted to check for a third time. Jouhkimainen wasn't done with the betting, though, sliding out a substantial bet of 340,000.
Stojanovic took a moment before returning his cards to the dealer.
Michael Duek raised to 105,000. It folded around to Jesse Lonis in the big blind, who raised the pot. Duek peeled to take a flop.
The flop was 8♣6♦6♥ and Lonis moved all in. Duek called, and the cards were on their backs.
Jesse Lonis: A♥A♦9♠5♦
Michael Duek: Q♦10♠9♦7♣
The was the J♦ and the river was the J♠, and Lonis got the double up.
