"I'm way ahead," Julia joked as the hands were tabled. Much to his surprise, he was in the lead with ace-high. Julia caught the Q♥ on sixth and Schamaun got the Q♣ to pick up a flush draw.
Schamaun revealed first on seventh with the 8♠ to pair. Julia needed to improve to stay alive, but he caught the 9♦ on the end as he was left with just ace-high, and the 2021 champion of this event hit the exit.
