After a rapid-fire Day 2 that saw 69 hopefuls whittled down to just six, the remaining contenders will return to Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas today at 1 p.m. to play down to a winner and award the first Seven Card Stud bracelet of the series.
Leading the way is two-time bracelet winner Dan Heimiller, who rode a wave of momentum throughout Day 2 to bag an overall lead with 2,885,000. Not far behind is Finland’s Jyri Merivirta, who ended the night with 2,555,000 after dragging a crucial multi-way pot late in the day. Three-time WSOP champion David Bach sits third in chips with 1,440,000 as he looks to add another bracelet to his decorated resume.
