Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Mark Evangelista
Mark Evangelista

In the last hand before the dinner break, Craig Savage open-jammed on the button. Mark Evangelista snap-called in the big blind, being the player at risk for 2,200,000.

Mark Evangelista: 77 All in
Craig Savage: AJ

Savage hit an ace on the 4A8 flop for a massive lead. No seven appeared on the 9 turn, and the A river gave Savage three of a kind to lock up the pot and eliminate Evangelista

Alexander Gittings Eliminated in 19th Place ($8,984)

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Alexander Gittings
Alexander Gittings

Short-stacked, Alexander Gittings moved his last 150,000 into the middle, just under the big blind. Sean Cronin called from the small blind, and Enrique Baldeon checked his option in the big.

The three saw a runout of 25K710, and with no action on any street, it went straight to showdown.

Gittings revealed A5 for a pair of fives, Cronin showed J9 for jack high, but Baldeon tabled 96 for a rivered flush to win the pot and send Gittings to the rail.

Chip and a Chair for Evangelista

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

After being down to a single 100,000 chip, Mark Evangelista was able to spin it up and get back to 1,000,000. From there, he moved all in from the cutoff to put himself at risk and Abhishek Mhatre called in the big blind.

Mark Evangelista: J10 All in
Abhishek Mhatre: A4

The flop came 485 with Mhatre still out in the lead but Evangelista still had plenty of outs. The turn landed the 5 and Evangelista got there on the 9 river by hitting the flush to double up.

Futai Snap-Calls with Tens to Take It Down

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Yudai Futai opened the action with a raise to 800,000 from late position, and Matthew Hayes defended his big blind with a call.

The flop came 9J5, and Hayes led out for 900,000. Futai called without much hesitation.

Both players then checked the 6 on the turn.

When the J hit the river, Hayes tried once more with a bet of 1,200,000, but Futai snap-called. Hayes tabled 94 for a pair of nines, but Futai showed 1010 for a better pair and scooped in the pot.

Kevin Okeefe Eliminated in 20th Place ($8,984)

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Kevin Okeefe
Kevin Okeefe

Kevin Okeefe jammed and was called by Arthur Morris to send the two to a showdown with Okeefe at risk.

Kevin Okeefe: AJAll in
Arthur Morris: 88

It was a race between a pair versus overcards, and the J26 flop appeared to give Okeefe the ticket to winning that race, but the brutal 8 turn gave Morris a set of eights to quickly reverse Okeefe's fortune. The 7 peeled off on the river to knock out Okeefe in 20th place. Okeefe was awarded $8,984 for his effort.

Brett Horton Eliminated in 21st Place ($8,984)

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Brett Horton
Brett Horton

Brett Horton moved all in for 1,825,000 from middle position, and when the action reached Sean Cronin in the small blind, he took a moment before making the call. The big blind got out of the way, and the cards went on their backs.

Brett Horton: A9All in
Sean Cronin: AA

Perfect timing for Cronin to wake up with aces. The A8Q flop gave Horton some life with a flush draw, but the 8 turn locked it up for Cronin with a full house. The 9 river changed nothing, and Horton was sent to the rail.
