Daniels Puts Reichenstein to the Test

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading 1032Q, there was roughly 15,000 in the pot and the action was heads-up. Shawn Daniels checked from the hijack and Uri Reichenstein tossed in a bet of 6,000 on the button. Daniels check-raised to 18,400 and Reichenstein called.

The river was the 5 and Daniels slid out a bet of 26,000. Reichenstein counted his stack and had a decision to make for the rest of his chips. He contemplated for a brief moment but decided to lay his hand down.

Kolonias Slow Plays a Set

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Amit [Removed:550] limped in from under the gun and Dimitar Danchev raised to 1,100 in the cutoff. Lei Yu called on the button and Alexandros Kolonias three-bet to 4,800 out of the big blind. [Removed:550], Danchev, and Yu all called to see the flop of 1073.

The action checked through to the 6 on the turn and the 4 on the river. [Removed:550] was the first to take a stab at the pot on the river with a bet of 10,000. Danchev and Yu quickly folded but Kolonias mulled it over for a moment before calling. [Removed:550] tabled K4 for a pair of fours, but Kolonias held 77 for a set of sevens to claim the pot.

Nezer Rivers a Full House

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The action was picked up on a flop of 33K with Joshua Berthiaume in the cutoff betting 600. Or Nezer called from the button, but the small blind folded.

Berthiaume fired a second barrel of 2,100 on the 2 turn and was called, but gave up his bluff with J8 on the K river.

Nezer quickly checked back with 63 for a full house and scooped the pot.

On a table that was only playing four-handed at the time, Benoit Fiasson and Alex Lynskey were heads-up in a raised pot with nearly 20,000 in the middle already. The board read KJ67 and Lynskey check-called a bet of 11,000 from Fiasson who was on the button.

The river was the 9 and Lynskey checked again. Fiasson tanked for nearly two minutes before shoving all in. Lynskey met him with a snap-call and Fiasson tabled AA. Lynskey also revealed AA and the two players smirked as they chopped the pot.

Ognyan Dimov raised from the button to 600, was re-raised by Manuel Fischer in the small blind to 2100, and then Dimov made it 7,000. Fischer made the call.

The flop came 874 and Fischer check-called the 2,500 chip bet from Dimov.

Both players checked on the 9 turn and Q river.

Fischer tabled AK, which was beaten by the A9 from Dimov.

Anthony Allison raised to 1,000 from the cutoff and Mohamed Kerkeni flat-called on the button. They went heads-up to a flop of 986 and Allison continued with a bet 1,500. Kerkeni raised to 6,000 and Allison instantly called.

The turn brought the J and both players checked to the 7 on the river. Allison checked again and Kerkeni counted out a large bet of 35,000. Allison dumped his cards into the muck and Kerkeni raked in the pot.

Newey on Attack Mode

Paul Newey in the small blind opened to 500 and was called by Jason Hickey in the big blind.

Newey continued for 500 on the 669 flop, but Hickey raised to 1,300. Newey didn't wait to three-bet to 3,500 and he made Hickey fold.

The action was picked up on the flop of 964 with Ran Ilani facing an all-in bet from Amit [Removed:550] on the button.

Ilani, in the big blind, called the 45,000 chip bet into a sub-10,000 chip pot.

There was no heart for [Removed:550] on the turn or river, and he was eliminated in the early stages of Level 1.

Gumz with a Lunch Reservation?

On the very first hand, Fabian Gumz and Tsubasa Kamei were battling heads-up in the blinds. The board read 852J and Gumz led out with a bet of 10,000 into a pot of around nearly that much. Kamei called from the big blind and the 9 completed the board.

Gumz slid his entire stack of around 35,000 into the middle and Kamei sank into his chair. After deliberating for a couple of minutes, Kamei also put his stack in the middle to call. Gumz flipped over Q7 for complete air while Kamei showed 1010 as the lone pair to scoop the pot.

"As good of a start as you can get," another tablemate said.

Trips for Nakai

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Winner of a $1,500 6-Max WSOP bracelet in 2022, Leo Soma in the cutoff bet 500 on a flop of 9K8. Ryuta Nakai in the big blind check-called and checked the K turn. Soma checked back.

Nakai led out for 2,000 on the 5 river. Soma quickly called but ran into Nakai's trips with K2.
