Mcewan Takes it Down

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Matthew Mcewan kicked off the action with a raise to 2,000 in the cutoff. Alexander Semaan on the button three bet to 6,000, prompting Mcewan to call.

Mcewan checked the 38Q flop, allowing Semaan to continue for 4,000, which Mcewan called.

Both players checked the 2 turn.

On the 2 river, Mcewan took the lead and fired a bet of 15,000, making Semaan go into the tank. In the end, he called, and Mcewan showed KQ for two pair queens and deuces. Semaan's cards found the muck.

Peterson Bets Theologis Off

Nick Peterson raised to 1,600 on the button and Alexandros Theologis defended from the big blind. The flop fell Q107 and Theologis check-called a bet of 1,400 from Peterson.

The turn was the A and both players checked to the A on the river. Theologis checked again and Peterson tossed in a bet of 3,600. Theologis quickly folded and Peterson dragged in the pot.

Moreau Finds Double

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Alexandre Moreau raised from the cutoff to 2,000 and was re-raised by Uri Reichenstein to 7,500 from the button. Moreau made the call.

The flop came K106, and Moreau led out for his 16,500 chip stack. Reichenstein called.

Mateos Shoves Against Ketzer

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

In a blind versus blind situtation, Adrian Mateos and Felipe Ketzer checked a flop of 3K5 leading to the 10 turn.

Mateos bet 7,200 and was called by Ketzer who saw the Spanish player move all in for 24,800 on the 8 river.

Ketzer went into the tank for a few seconds but folded.

Martins Sends Bohn to the Rail

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Humberto Lopes Martins raised it up from the hijack and was called by Fabiano Kovalski and Blake Bohn in the blinds. The flop came 982 and the blinds checked to Martins who bet 4,100. Kovalski called but Bohn check-raised to 14,000. Martins ripped all in as the big stack which forced Kovalski out and Bohn called off his stack of around 35,000.

Bohn flopped top pair but it was no match for the overpair of Martins. The J and 3 runout was no help to Bohn who exited the tournament area.

Yu Takes It Down With Just Jacks

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

With around 25,000 already in the pot and the board showing 9J5A Lei Yu in the cutoff bet 7,500 and Luka Bojovic on the button made the call.

Both players checked the 5 river, leading to a showdown. Yu tabled QJ for a pair of jacks, which seemed enough for Bojovic as he mucked his cards, allowing Yu to claim the pot.

Kenner to the Rail

Michael Jozoff raised from the cutoff to 1,600, was called by John Kenner on the button, and Michael Jozoff in the big blind.

The flop came AK9 and Sarmiento bet 4,000. Kenner raised to 11,000, Sarmiento raised to put Kenner at risk, and Kenner called.

The J4 runout could not save Kenner, and he was headed to the rail.

Nine High Like a... What?

Robert Ashelm raised to 1,600 from under the gun and he was only called by Saleh Masoodian who defended from the big blind.

Ashelm continued for 1,800 on the 10A7 flop. Masoodian check-called, then both players checked the K turn and the 3 river.

First player to reveal his cards, Masoodian flipped over 98 for a missed straight draw and was waiting to see the winning hand. But to his surprise, Ashelm mucked his cards so Ashelm won this one with nine-high.

Teusl Gets Paid with Kings After River Shove

With about 4,000 in the pot and the board showing Q88, Eric Cloutier checked from middle position to Jessica Teusl in the cutoff. She fired a bet of 3,500, and Cloutier made the call.

The 5 hit the turn, and Cloutier checked again. Teusl kept the pressure on with a bet of 8,500, which Cloutier once more called.

On the 7 river, Cloutier checked a third time. Teusl didn’t hesitate to move all in for her remaining 20,600. Cloutier tanked for a while, clearly unsure, but eventually tossed in the call.

Teusl turned over KK for an overpair, and the dealer quickly mucked Cloutier’s hand. Curious, Teusl asked, “What did you have?” as she pulled in her doubl-up pot. Cloutier replied, “King-Queen.”
