2025 World Series of Poker
With the flop showing 8♦Q♠Q♦, Norman Silverman checked from under the gun, and Sam Farha bet 25,000 from the button. Silverman check-raised to 90,000, and Farha responded by folding. Silverman showed AxQx for trip queens as the pot was sent to him.
Antoine Meseguer moved all in from under the gun for 39,000, and only Gary Friedlander made the call.
Antoine Meseguer: A♣K♣
Gary Friedlander: A♦Q♣
Meseguer was at risk but had his opponent dominated, and things looked even more promising on the J♣2♥6♣ flop.
The deck had other plans, though, as the Q♠ turn fired Friedlander into the lead.
Meseguer needed to find a king or a club to stay alive, but the 8♠ river sealed his fate in unfortunate fashion and saw him heading towards the exit.
The chips went in preflop between Bruce Carter and Daniel Gerard for a seven-figure pot with Gerard at risk.
Daniel Gerard: K♦K♣
Bruce Carter: Q♦Q♠
Gerard was in a dominant position heading into the runout, but the flop was unsightly for Gerard as it fanned out 4♦4♥Q♥ to give Carter a full house.
The 9♣ turn and the A♣ river did not provide any relief for Gerard as he was sent to the exit.

Blinds will be 4,000/8,000 with an 8,000 big blind ante.
James Casement raised to 15,000 from middle position before Bill Vicars three-bet jammed for 145,000 from the hijack. James Hook moved all in with the covering stack from the small blind, forcing Casement to fold.
Bill Vicars: A♠Q♠
James Hook: K♠K♦
Hook was ahead with pocket kings and just needed to fade an ace or some spades to win the pot and send Vicars home. The 2♠J♠4♦ flop gave Vicars a flush draw. The rest of the board ran out J♦5♣, and Vicars hit the rail.
As the dinner break approaches, here is a look at some of the bigger stacks around the room.
