Cards are in the air, and play has started in Event #64: $1,000 Super Seniors No‑Limit Hold’em.
Hamed Cholagh raised from the button to 6,500 and faced an all in by Mark Detert from the big blind for 34,500. Cholagh called and sent them to a showdown.
Mark Detert: 10♥10♠
Hamed Cholagh: A♦K♦
The first card out was a welcome sight for Cholagh as it was the K♣, but the rest of the flop was not as helpful as it fanned out 10♣6♠.
The 4♠ turn and the 9♥ river completed the board to give Detert the double with a set of tens.

All three players checked the 10♦2♣2♦ flop to see the 8♥ appear on the turn. Demeza checked before Larson bet 6,000. Hernon folded, but Demeza called.
Both players checked the 9♥ river and Demeza revealed a straight with Q♠J♥ to win the pot.

Robert Cheung opened from middle position to 10,000. He faced a three-bet from Peter Splettstoesser to 26,000 from the hijack.
Cheung did an inventory before he went all in for 35,500 total. Splettstoesser called, and the cards were on their backs.
Robert Cheung: A♥A♦
Peter Splettstoesser: A♣K♦
The flop was a precarious one for Cheung as it came out K♣10♣J♣, giving Splettstoesser a pair plus a flush draw and chop outs to a straight.
The 2♥ turn was safe for Cheung, but the 7♣ river was a disaster for Cheung as it gave Splettstoesser a flush.

After an early position raise to 8,000 by Michael Megison, Ramaprasad Chilakapati called, followed by two others still to act.
The flop 9♦Q♥J♦ folded around to Chilakapati, who took over the betting lead, pushing out a bet of 9,000. Only Megison called, and the players moved on to the turn.
Megison decided to retake the betting lead on the 4♣ turn, doing so for 13,000, which Chilikapati called.
The river 10♥ saw sparks fly. Megison moved all in for his remaining stack, and Chilikapati snap-called. Megison turned over 9♠8♠ for a rivered straight, but Chilikapati showed he had rivered a higher straight with his K♦Q♠.
Megison was the shorter stack and, as such, vacated his seat and headed to the exit.
