Pot-Limit Omaha

Table 658 started an orbit of Pot-Limit Omaha, which got Mike Matusow talking.

"The $10k PLO is the juiciest event of the year," said Matusow, who is wearing a noir wool detective hat and driving a gold chrome scooter. "A blind person could win it it's so bad."

Arthur Morris raised from under the gun and Jon Turner called in the big blind, but Matusow wasn't done talking.

"I'm a great PLO-8 player," he said to no one in particular.

Turner and Morris both checked on the 6A7 flop and again on the 4 turn. Turner then bet 20,000 on the K river to bring a fold from Morris. Matusow, meanwhile, had moved on to talking about a bad beat he took earlier in the series deep in the $5,000 Seniors High Roller.

"You saw what that f***ing idiot did to me with two tables left?" Matusow grumbled.

Daniel Negreanu

Omaha Hi-Lo

David Benyamine raised under the gun before Kane Kalas reraised in the hijack. Jason Mercier in the cutoff, Daniel Negreanu on the button, and big blind Michael Mizrachi all called, as did Benyamine.

The flop came 982 and Kalas bet. Mercier called, while Negreanu raised. Mizrachi, Benyamine, Kalas, and Mercier all called.

The turn was the 9 and Mercier bet. Negreanu raised again as Mizrachi and Benyamine got out of the way, while Kalas and Mercier both called.

"We got Dan out," Mercier said as Dan Smith was the only player at the table not involved in this hand.

The 8 fell on the river and Kalas led out with a bet. Mercier called, while Negreanu raised again. Kalas called, while Mercier finally gave up his hand.

Negreanu showed AJ92 for a full house and immediately took out his camera to begin filming. "Look at those chips. They keep coming," Negreanu said as the massive pot was pushed over to him.

The turn brought the K. Hunichen fired again for 55,000 and Funkhouser put in the call.

2-7 Triple Draw

Scott Bohlman opened from the hijack, Scott Seiver three-bet from the small blind, Julien Martini four-bet from the big blind and both opponents called. Seiver drew two, Martini drew one and Bohlman drew two.

After the first draw Seiver checked and Martini bet, leaving just a few chips behind. Bohlman raised, Seiver called, Martini three-bet, Bohlman called and Seiver called. Seiver and Bohlman then drew one each while Martini stood pat.

Martini bet again when checked to after the second draw, leaving just a few chips behind. Seiver bet, Martini called and was all-in, and Bohlman called.

For the final draw, Seiver stood pat, Martini broke his hand and drew one, and Bohlman drew one. Seiver and Bohlman then checked after the final draw.

Bohlman ended up with 9x9x5x3x2x for a pair of nines, and Martini had ended up with Qx7x5x3x2x for a queen-low. Seiver turned over 7x6x5x4x2x for number four to eliminate Martini and win the pot.

Michael Mizrachi opened to 7,500 from under the gun and Jason Mercier called on the button.

Mizrachi continued for 8,000 on the flop of J7Q and Mercier called. Mizrachi sized up to 31,500 on the 5 turn and Mercier again called.

The 5 river completed the board and Mizrachi upped the ante with an overbet of 500,000 to put Mercier all in for his stack off 300,000.

"Why so much?" Mercier said as he entered a four-minute tank. "What's the next game?"

"Can I go to the bathroom while he thinks?" Mizrachi asked the dealer. "I don't want him to get a read on me."

Mercier eventually folded and speculated that Mizrachi had pocket queens.
