Alavez Can't Make the Pay Jump; Criscione Climbs Counts

Exactly one off another pay jump, Briant Alavez raised to 7,700,000 under the gun, leaving himself just a million behind. Michael Criscione made the call and the rest of the table folded.

The flop scrolled across 10♣4♠9♣ and Alavez took his time with his decision and the either anxious or bored Criscione got out of his seat, looping around his chair until his opponent finally checked, at which point he flicked out a peach million chip to put his opponent all in.

"A chip and a chair!", Criscione said as Alavez took his time before finally making the call.

The turn closed the door on Alavez as Criscione made a straight with the K♣, making the A♣ a needle as Alavez exit without unlocking the pay jump.

Heads up on a river reading J♠3♣J♣10♠J♦ saw Yuanzhi Cao bet 9,000,000 into a pot with over 20,000,000 in it.

Daniel Clemente considered shortly and released his hand. Cao showed A♠A♦ and asked Clemente if he had Ace-King.

This continues Cao's momentum as he has spent a large portion of the day among the chip leaders.

Just before the three-table redraw, Mitchell Tsang raised to 5,000,000 leaving himself just a million behind. Manuel Reyes went all in, isolating for quite a bit more. Tsang saw there was no action pending at any of the tables and flicked in the call.

The flop of 8♠4♥8♥ checked through, allowing the J♥ to peel off on the turn. Bedoya bet out for 4,000,000, and Sim put in the smooth call. On the 5♦ river, Bedoya bet 10,000,000, and Sim shoved with a covering stack. Bedoya made the call.

"Nuts!" announced Sim, emphatically tabling A♥10♥ It was not, in fact, the nuts, however it was enough to beat Bedoya's flopped trips with Q♣8♣ and send him home.
