Foxen Still Alive

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

With his wife Kristen having just registered for the event and placed in a seat at the table directly behind him, Alex Foxen found himself almost out of the tournament.

Down to his final 7,500 chips, with 4,000 in blinds and ante approaching, Foxen was up against it.

In the big blind, he folded to a button raise by Victor Chong, but from the small blind, he raised all-in, drawing a call from Ayaz Mahmood, who exited when Chong reraised.

Foxen hit a jack on the flop and turned trips to run away with the hand on the board of A2JJ5.

Foxen then waited through a full rotation before getting involved again, this time joining three callers of Charles Thomas' preflop raise.

After the flop hit J10A, Thomas fired off a 10,000-chip bet. Foxen raised all-in for his remaining 14,000 chips.

Thomas thought about it for a bit, then made the surprising fold, handing Foxen a pot that put him almost back to the starting chip stack.
