Saul Steil raised to 1,200 in the cutoff, James Kraetz flatted in the small blind, and Bruno Borgesramos three-bet jammed in the big blind for about 11,000 to put himself at risk. Steil and Kraetz both called.

Steil and Kraetz checked it down to the river on a runout of K♠A♦7♣A♣8♥ and Borgesramos was the first to table his hand with 4♣4♠. Steil showed 2♠2♦ and Kraetz mucked, later stating that he had jack-ten.

The river brought the J♣ and now Morel led out for 5,000. Gold raised to 15,000 and Morel snap called tabling A♦9♣ crushing Gold's 7♠8♠ and leaving the 2006 WSOP Main Event Champion running on the empty gas line.

Jamie Gold, feeling "steamed up," in his own words, raised to 5,000 from under the gun and found a call from Christopher Dowling in the big blind.

The flop came 5♥6♣4♥, and Gold flipped out another 5,000 bet, Dowling called. The 9♥ dropped on the turn, and now Gold bet out for 15,000 only to see Dowling move all in, and he had Gold covered.

"I have aces!" exclaimed Gold, not really liking the call but pushing in his remaining chips.

Christopher Dowling: 9♦9♣

"Oh wow, great hand," complemented Gold when he saw Dowling's cards and that he had turned a set. The 5♦ on the river filled Dowling up and sent the legendary Gold to the reentry page on the WSOP+ app.
