In the 902nd episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Mike Holtz do an emergency show to discuss the industry-shaking collusion controversy that stemmed from the heads-up match between Jesse Yaginuma and James Carroll in the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Millionaire Maker. Not only were seven-figure prizes up for grabs, but there was also a $1,000,000 bonus if Yaginuma were to win thanks to an outside promotion.

That fact made a big impact on what allegedly went down. Find out what happened, what fans and players are saying, and whether or not ClubWPT Gold will award the $1,000,000 bonus. Alexander Condon raised to 10,000 in late position, Angela Defoe flatted in the small blind, and Stephen Song called in the big blind.

The flop of 3♣Q♠3♠ checked around, as did the 7♣ turn. On the J♣ river, Defoe led out for 15,000 and Song raised to 40,000.

Condon thought for a moment before mucking his hand, and Defoe showed 8♦8♠ before folding. Song flashed 4♦3♦ for three of a kind, treys.

A total of 2,338 entrants generated a massive prize pool of $6,242,460. A total of 351 players will get paid with a minimum cash payout of $6,010, but all remaining players will be eyeing up the first place prize of a cool $830,685 and, of course, the coveted WSOP Gold Bracelet.

Action was folded to Martin Kabrhel, who raised to 20,000 from middle position, leaving himself just 1,000 behind. Michael Leib three-bet from the big blind to 40,000.

"How much is it?" asked Kabrhel before waiting out his time and pushing out his final 1,000-chip.

"Don't write it down, please," requested Kabrhel as PokerNews was noting the hand as the flop came 6♥J♥3♠. "Now you can write it down," squawked Kabrhel, "I have a flush".

The J♦ on the turn didn't help Leib, and the 2♥ on the river indeed made Kabrhel his flush, and he was pushed the pot for a double up.

John Trumbul raised to 15,000 under the gun and Alisson Piekazewicz three-bet to 40,000 in late position. Trumbul made the call.

The flop came 7♠3♣3♦ and Trumbul led out for 32,000. Piekazewicz called and the turn landed the 5♠.

Trumbul bet 75,000 and Piekazewicz called, bringing the 4♠ river. Trumbul then moved all in to put Piekazewicz at risk who had about 100,000 behind.

Piekazewicz took some time to think through his decision before tossing his cards into the muck.
