Michael Dwyer

Biography

Michael Dwyer is an Irish poker player who secured a career-best score in the 2026 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona Main Event. Dwyer took home €362,500 for a fifth-place finish.

Dwyer has cashes dating back to March 2005, primarily in his native Ireland. However, his first five-figure haul came in Las Vegas. During the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Dwyer went deep in the $10,000 Main Event, finishing 237th for $46,800.

Three months later, the Irishman cashed in the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event for a new career high of $52,807. He also banked $32,500 for an in-the-money finish in the 2023 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, and another $37,500 for a 2024 WSOP Main Event cash.

In September 2024, Dwyer was the fifth-place finisher in the €2,700 EPT Barcelona Second Chance and walked away with €86,350.

Dywer cashed in his fifth consecutive WSOP Main Event in 2026 before collecting €362,500 for his fifth-place finish in the 2026 EPT Barcelona Main Event.
