Jakub Sterba raised to 200,000 in early position and Paawan Bansal three-bet to 720,000 in the small blind. Sterba made the call.

The flop came Q♠7♣3♥ and Bansal continued with a bet of 500,000. Sterba called and the turn landed the 5♠.

Bansal slowed down with a check and Sterba moved all in for just over 2,000,000 to put himself at risk. Bansal snap called.

Action folded around to Cesar Del Pino in middle position, who shipped his last 775,000 into the middle. Paawan Bansal took his time in late position and flat called. The blinds and button all folded.

Some promise on the flop for Del Pino when it came 2♦8♣A♥, and then when the 8♠ peeled off on the turn, he soared ahead. No rescue for Bansal with the 5♣ on the river, and Del Pino was pushed the pot for a handy double-up.

Mao Picks Off the Bluff

Action picked up on the turn in a hand between Corey Kempson in middle position and Jiawei Mao in the big blind.

With the board reading A♦6♣J♥2♣, Mao check-called a bet of 750,000, bringing the 6♦ river.

Mao checked again and Kempson fired out a nearly pot-sized bet of 2,200,000.

Mao took some time to think through his decision before making the call. Mao tabled A♣8♠, for two pair, aces and sixes, besting the 5♥4♥ of Kempson.

Angela Defoe raised to 275,000 on the button and Ren Lin called in the small blind.

The flop rolled out 3♦J♥8♣ and Lin check-called a bet of 305,000 from Defoe.

On the turn 6♠, Lin checked over to Defoe again and she bet 600,000. Lin thought for a bit before calling.

Lin lead out on the J♦ river to the tune of 775,000 and Defoe went into the tank.

“I know I’m going to regret this,” said Defoe as she put in the chips to call.

At showdown Lin turned over Q♠J♠ for three jacks and it was good against Defoe’s Q♥Q♣.

Huge Double-Up for Jones

Action was folded to Steven Jones, who made up from the small blind, and Paawan Bansal checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came 7♥6♠A♦, and Jones led out for 120,000, and Bansal called, and the players saw the 4♠ drop on the turn.

Jones led out gain but for 500,000 this time, and again Bansal flat called. The river brought the K♦, and now Jones bet 1,100,000, leaving himself 1,100,000 behind. Bansal went into the tank for a while before he announced that he was all in and had Jones covered.

Now Jones went deeper and deeper into the tank, asking himself various questions and trying to work out what Bansal could be holding. He eventually put in his remaining chips and slammed over 7♣6♥ for two pair. Bansal sheepishly turned over 5♣4♣ for bottom pair, and the pot was shipped to Jones, giving him a full double-up.
