With Artur Martirosian sitting on the button, he raised to 50,000 holding K♠Q♣. Patrick Leonard raised from the big blind to 190,000 with A♣Q♠. Martirosian called.

A flop of J♣10♦10♥ peeled off, and Leonard bet 80,000. Martirosian raised his straight draw to 320,000, and Leonard elected to call.

With slightly over 1,000,000 chips in the middle, a 9♣ rolled off on the turn. Leonard checked, and Martirosian bet 675,000 holding a straight. Leonard called.

Martirosian would be checked to once again on a 5♣ river, he decided to force Leonard to make a decision for his tournament; betting Leonard's remaining 777,000. After a bit of deliberation, Leonard made the fold.

Artur Martirosian raised to 40,000 on the button with K♣7♣ and Patrick Leonard three-bet to 145,000 from the big blind with a dominating A♥K♥. Martirosian called and they saw a flop of 10♥4♠3♠.

Leonard continued with a bet of 215,000 and Martirosian instantly ditched his cards to the muck.

On the next hand, Leonard raised to 38,000 on the button with J♣5♥ and Martirosian defended from the big blind with 3♣2♣. Both players flopped a pair on the J♥7♠2♠ flop but checked through to the 4♣ on the turn.

Martirosian checked again and Leonard followed suit with another check despite holding top pair. The K♦ completed the board and Martirosian checked for the third time. Leonard finally came in with a bet of 60,000 and Martirosian paid him off.
