Tate Catches a Nine to Bust Sternheimer

Level 11 : Limits 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Brian Tate raised in the cutoff, Philip Sternheimer reraised in the small blind, and Tate called.

Sternheimer drew one and Tate two. Sternheimer checked to Tate who bet, and Sternheimer called.

Both players drew one and Tate bet again. Sternheimer called and they each took one again. Sternheimer then bet his last chips and Tate called.

"Queen," Sternheimer said, but Tate showed 9x7x4x3x2x to win the pot and send Sternheimer to the rail.

Shaun Deeb and last year's runner-up Danny Wong were also recently eliminated.
