Esther Taylor has made history by becoming the second-ever woman to cash the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, after making the final table of one of the summer's showpiece events.

The American, who has over $2.3 million in total live earnings, joins trailblazer Melissa Burr as the second female player to cash the event, eleven years on from Burr's 7th-place finish in 2014 for $165,435.

"May the best Mike win," Wolff said.

"May the worst Mike win," Thorpe replied.

Wolff ended up drawing a 7x6x5x3x2x and Thorpe was left with 8x7x6x5x2x as Wolff doubled up.

A few hands later, Wolff raised under the gun, Thorpe reraised on the button, and Wolff called all in once more.

Wolff took three and Thorpe two. Thorpe patted the last two draws, while Wolff took two.

Thorpe showed 8x6x4x3x2x, while Wolff had 8x5x2x showing but paired his eight to hit the rail in 17th place.

Mantel then raised and Yuri Dzivielevski three-bet. Mantel called and was all in for 45,000.

Mantel drew two, one and one while Dzivielevski drew one and stood pat for second and third draws.
