Battistone Wins the Three-Way Battle with Better Two Pair

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With around 8,600 already in the middle and the board showing 482J, Ariel Celestino checked from the small blind. Brian Battistone bet 7,500, and both Brandon Wilson in middle position and Celestino made the call.

The 4 landed on the river, and all three players opted to check, though Wilson took a moment before tapping the table.

At showdown, Celestino revealed K8 for two pair, eights and fours. But Battistone turned over J8 for a stronger two pair, jacks and eights. That was enough to take the pot as Wilson quietly mucked his cards.

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Stephen Buell opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 1,500, and Thixoa Nguyen made the call from the cutoff. Antoine Labat, sitting in the big blind, put in a three-bet to 6,400. Both opponents called to see a flop.
