Kenneth Po from under the gun and Elaine Rawn from the hijack were tangled in a three-bet pot with over 200,000 in the middle preflop.
On the 5♥3♣2♠ flop, Po checked to Rawn who bet 75,000 and Po called.
Po checked again on the 5♠ turn before Rawn immediately announced all-in as the covering stack and Po snap-called for his final 190,000.
"Oh no, do you have aces?" Rawn asked as she got the bad news.
Kenneth Po: A♥A♦
Elaine Rawn: K♥K♣
It was a cooler scenario with Po having the best of it. He needed to fade just two outs on the river. However, the dealer peeled the K♦ on the river as the breath was taken out of the room as the brutal river was laid out, and Po sportingly wished his opponents farewell after taking a brual beat.
Scott Abrams: A♠K♠ / 9♠9♦6♦10♥ / A♥
Brian Hastings: XxXx / 10♠A♣4♠8♣ / Xx
Scott Abrams completed, and Brian Hastings put in a raise. Abrams called.
Abrams made a pair of nines on fourth and bet. Hastings called.
That pattern went all the way until the river, when Abrams bet and Hastings thought for a long time. He eventually called again, and Abrams revealed aces up for the winner in a big pot.
Brian Hastings raised from the hijack and was three-bet by Nicolas Milgrom on the button. Jonatas Freitas called cold in the big blind and Hastings called all in for less.
Freitas check-called a bet from Milgrom on the 10♣7♣Q♦ flop and then Freitas led out for a bet after the 10♦ paired the board. Milgrom called.
Both players checked on the Q♣ river and Freitas tabled A♣7♠6♣2♣ for the nut flush.
It was best against Milgrom's A♦10♠8♦5♣ and Hastings's A♠K♦10♥4♥ for trips tens — eliminating Hastings and sending the large pot to Freitas.
Christian Malick: 2x4x/10x6x4x9x/3x
Tobias Matuschek: 5x3x/8x5x6xKx/10x
Elaine Rawn: XxXx/7x8xQx - folded on fifth street
Elaine Rawn completed and received calls from Christian Malick and Tobias Matuschek.
All three players checked fourth street. On fifth street action checked around to Malick who bet. Matuschek raised all-in, Rawn folded and Malick called to put Matuschek at risk.
Matuschek ended with T-8-6-5-3 while Malick had 9-6-4-3-2 to send Matuschek to the rail and claim the last of his chips.

Day 2 Action
With 167 hopefuls making it to Day 2 and 119 paid spots, the first order of business was bursting the money bubble. Some notables to make it to Day 2 but fall short of the money include Carol Fuchs, Brian Yoon, Mike Matusow, and Daniel Negreanu. The bubble burst just as the floor asked the dealer to stop dealing, and before the start of hand-for-hand play. David Bach and Evan Haskell were eliminated at separate tables, sharing the title of bubble boy and splitting the $3,007 min-cash.
Following the bursting of the money bubble the eliminations picked up at an even faster pace, with noteworthy players such as Chad Eveslage (93rd - $3,007), Barry Greenstein (72nd - $3,158), Phil Hui (62nd - $3,325) and Barny Boatman (59th - $3,325) making their exits shortly after the bubble had burst.
Two-time bracelet winner Ari Engel got off to a hot start, nearly tripling the stack he started with by the first break of the day. Engel was able to ride that momentum well into the money but had to settle for 31st place after running his two pair into Scott Abram’s set of kings in a hand of Pot-Limit Omaha. Engel took home $5,185 for his finish, while Matt Glantz (45th - $4,535), David Funkhouser (34th - $5,285), Jon Turner (25th - $6,308) and Brian Hastings (21st, $7,707) also hitting the rail around this time.
Five-time bracelet winner Brad Ruben was among the final eliminations of the night. His quest for a sixth bracelet ended in a hand of Omaha Hi-Lo after his aces were cracked by Joseph Ricardo’s rivered straight.
