Arieh's Tournament Comes to an End

Josh Arieh checked from the small blind on a flop of 3♥Q♣J♥ and Young Sik Eum bet 5,000 from under the gun. Arieh check-raised to 21,000, which Eum called.

The 3♣ dropped on the turn and Arieh jammed for roughly 38,000. Eum called to put Arieh at risk.

Arieh's two pair on the flop had been counterfeited, and Eum had the better flush draw. Arieh couldn't find the help he needed on the 7♦ river, and he wished everyone good luck as he headed for the exit.

Kyte Nearly Triples Up; Buonocore Busts

On a flop of J♦10♣6♣, the stacks of three players went into the middle and Bryan Buonocore was the shortest of them up against Jon Kyte and Brynjar Gigja.

Gigja had a lot of equity to knock out two players but it was Kyte who came out on top thanks to the 8♠ turn and 6♠ river runout, as he improved to a full house. Buonocore was eliminated while Kyte doubled for more than 35,000 against Gigja.

Lamb & Lehr Play an Unusual Hand

Ben Lamb bet 16,000 on a flop of 9♠6♦J♣ and Keith Lehr called from the next seat.

Lamb bet 1,500 on the 10♣ with just 1,100 behind. Lehr called and turned over his hand of A♠Q♥Q♣3♠ for a pair of queens.

With Lehr's hand still on show, the 7♣ came on the river, and Lehr put Lamb all-in out of turn, much to the amusement of Lamb and the table. Eventually, Lamb decided to bet his last 1,100, which Lehr called.

Lamb laughed and said, "That's good.", at which point Lehr grabbed Lamb's cards and began to try to wrestle them out of his hand. Lamb eventually turned over 6♣5♣4♣2♥ for a rivered flush to pull in the pot.

Lehr, Lamb, and their tablemates all saw the funny side of the whole encounter, especially the slow roll.

Vongxaiburana Doubles Through Rolli

By the time the flop showed 8♣3♠2♥ and Veerachai Vongxaiburana had bet 8,000 to then face a pot-sized raise to 44,500 by Fabian Rolli, all other players that may have been involved prior to that were gone. Vongxaiburana was deep in the tank and eventually got his chips in, Rolli called with the covering stack.

The 4♥ turn and 9♥ river gave both players a flush and Vongxaiburana doubled for 87,000.

The cards of Michael Noori were exposed for the showdown and then instantly went into the muck what appeared to have been pocket queens and two clubs, up against the Q♦9♦6♣5♣ of Laszlo Bujtas on the 8♣7♠2♣ flop. The 4♦ turn gave Bujtas a straight and the J♦ river was a blank to send Noori to the rail.

Valeo Shoves into Spegal's Set

Michael Spegal had bet 4,000 from the button on a flop of 2♠10♦3♥. Matthew Valeo check-raised to 11,500 from the blinds, and Spegal called.

The Q♣ landed on the turn and Valeo jammed for roughly the size of the pot, which was around 30,000. Spegal instantly called.

Negreanu Misreads His Hand & Busts

Mark Steinberg called from the small blind and Daniel Negreanu made it 1,800 from the big blind. Steinberg called.

Both players checked the 7♣2♥3♦ flop to see the K♠ appear on the turn. Steinberg checked again, and Negreanu bet 2,500. Steinberg called.

After Steinberg knuckled the action over to Negreanu on the 10♠ river, Negreanu jammed for 4,600. Steinberg called, and Negreanu exclaimed, "I misread my hand, I thought I had king-ten. I would have checked,".

Negreanu showed just a pair of kings with K♣Q♠J♦9♠, and lost the pot to Steinberg's K♦10♥8♣5♣ for a rivered two pair. The pot was pushed to Steinberg, and Negreanu was out.

Big Blind Special for Rheem

DJ Alexander raised to 1,300 in early position and picked up three callers along the way including Chino Rheem in the big blind. The flop came J♠8♦2♦ and Rheem led out with a bet of 4,000. Alexander just called and Steven Forman also came along.

The 2♣ paired the board on the turn and Rheem fired out another bet of 7,000. Alexander called and Forman raised to 22,000. Rheem quickly called and Alexander spent some time in the tank before letting his hand go.

The river was the 5♥ and both players tapped the table. Rheem turned over J♦4♥3♦2♠ for a full house and Forman conceded the pot.

Bowers Earns Full Double Through Gabriel

Kai Yang bet the 10♦7♣3♦6♥ turn for 2,500 and Dumitru-Adrian Pora called before another bet of 3,000 on the 5♣ turn by Yang won the pot uncontested.

One hand later, Kyle Ho opened to 1,800 and was called two ways by Jonathan Bowers and Thomas Gabriel. The 8♥7♥4♠ flop saw Gabriel bet 4,200 and earn two callers. After the 2♦ turn, Gabriel fired a bet of 19,000 and Bowers was the only caller.

Gabriel jammed the J♦ on the river and Bowers instantly called or his last 24,500 to get shown the A♣6♣6♥4♦ by Gabriel. Bowers had that beat with A♠10♠9♦3♦ for the nut straight and Oleg Sobol said "nice runout". Bowers replied with a "fish" and both chuckled.

Apparently, they had talked about this before and Bowers pointed out that "fish" was the more appropriate term for certain hands.
