Hage is Not Tilted Anymore

Level 19 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Samir Hage asked the dealer if he had put in his four thousand chips while his small blind was already 8,000.

"Here are my eight, and another eight," Hage said as he limped. Michael Wang in the big blind checked and the flop came J53. Hage check-called for 30,000 and the 4 turn was checked. On the A river, Hage bet 53,000 and Wang reluctantly called but mucked upon being shown the 9763.

"Now I am not tilted anymore," Hage said to the dealer.

Yang Backs into a Boat to Survive

Level 19 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Kai Yang
Kai Yang

Kai Yang started the hand with a limp from the cutoff. Brandon Crawford made the 72,000 from the button, with Erik Nordstrand calling from the small blind, and Yang also calling.

Nordstrand led out for 248,000 on the 5108 flop. Yang committed his last 141,000, and Crawford folded.

Kai Yang: QQ102 All in
Erik Nordstrand: KJ97

Nordstrand flopped a straight against the overpair of Yang. The 8 turn meant only a queen or eight on the river would save Yang. The 8 appeared on the river to give Yang a boat, eights full for queens, keeping him in the tournament.

No More Woofing from Wayne

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Lawrence Wayne
Lawrence Wayne

Fernando Gutierrez raised to 40,000 from under the gun and Lawrence Wayne three-bet to 144,000 on his left. Thomas Taylor reraised the pot to over 500,000 and the action quickly folded back to Wayne who stuck in the last few chips in front of him.

Thomas Taylor: AAJ8

The flop came J65 and Taylor was still out front with his pair of aces. The 10 on the turn gave Wayne two pair but the 5 on the river gave Taylor the best two pair to eliminate the dog-barking Wayne from the event.

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

After the dealer put out a flop of AK2, Crawford knuckled the action over to Hellmuth. Hellmuth wasted no time in betting the pot again, prompting a quick fold from Crawford.

Ryan Riess was all-in preflop for his last 160,000 with David Paredes trying to send him home.

Ryan Riess: A1087 All in
David Paredes: AAQ5

Riess needed to come from behind and crack the aces of Paredes if he was to have a chance of making Day 3.

The flop came down JQ8, giving Riess a lot of outs to win. The 8 was one of those outs as Riess improved to trip eights to take the lead. A clean 4 arrived on the river, and Riess doubled up through Paredes.
