Seidel Drills the River to Double Through Rocco

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Simeon Tsonev limped from the cutoff and Erik Seidel limped behind on the button. Michael Rocco called from the small blind and David Paredes checked his option in the big blind for a four-way pot.

The flop came 8A4 and it was checked to Seidel, who put 500,000 into the middle. Rocco raised to 1,000,000 even, which got folds from Parades and Tsonev, but a shove from Seidel for slightly more. Rocco quickly called and hands were revealed.

Erik Seidel: K753All in
Michael Rocco: 10883

Rocco held the lead with his set of eights and maintained it on the 2 turn, but the J river completed Seidel's flush draw to award him the double-up.

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Stefan Lehner
Stefan Lehner

Sean Rafael raised to 350,000 from middle position and Stefan Lehner three-bet all in for approximately 1,000,000 from the cutoff. It was folded back to Rafael, who called to put Lehner at risk.

Stefan Lehner: AA98All in
Sean Rafael: AJ76

Lehner had the best of it with his aces, but the JJ7 flop vaulted Rafael into the lead with trip jacks.

The 5 turn changed nothing and the J river put an exclaimation mark on Lehner's elimination after upgrading Rafael to quads.

Lehner snapped a quick picture of the hands and board before wishing his tablemates good luck.

Ben Lamb Eliminated in 16th Place ($54,777)

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

The action started with a pot-sized raise to 350,000 by Ben Lamb from under the gun and Quan Zhou called in the next seat. Javier Francort then repotted in the next seat to 1,550,000 and it folded all the way back to Lamb.

Around two minutes passed while Lamb mulled it over and Michael Rocco then called the clock on him.

"I would have made a bet on that," Lamb smirked back in response and he was given a total of 50 seconds to act. As the timer hit the last five seconds, Lamb called all in for 1,410,000 and Zhou folded.

Ben Lamb: KK102 All in
Javier Francort: AA42

The board ran out 10826J and Lamb failed to improve despite plenty of equity, Zhou banged his hand on the rail as he would have won the hand.

"Who is your next victim?" Rocco was asked.

He replied, "definitely not him," while pointing to table neighbour and short stack Erik Seidel. By then, Lamb was already gone from the stage as his tournament ended in 16th place for $54,777.

Rafael Doubles Through Nordstrand into the Chip Lead

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Sean Rafael
Sean Rafael

Erik Nordstrand opened to 350,000 from under the gun and Sean Rafael called from the button.

The flop came J22. Nordstrand continued with a 300,000 bet and Rafael called.

Nordstrand fired a second barrel for 750,000 on the 6 turn and Rafael called again. On the Q river Nordstrand shoved, covering Rafael who had 2,305,000 behind. Rafael called.

Nordstrand could only show AK98 for a bluff with the nut-flush blocker. Rafael had top boat with AQQ2 to secure a massive double up and take the chip lead.

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Marcello Del Grosso
Marcello Del Grosso

The action started with a small blind limp by Javier Francort and Marcello Del Grosso raised it up to 300,000. Francort then limp-raised the pot and Del Grosso got his shorter stack into the middle for the following showdown.

Marcello Del Grosso: AAJ6 All in
Javier Francort: QQ83

The J94KQ runout was a gross(o) one as Francort spiked the set of queens on the river to eliminate the Canadian.

While he raked up the chips, the Dutchman joked "it was always coming," and added, "better than the Badugi tournament."

His hand was certainly a Badugi choice, though only a three-card Dugi with the pair of queens. Del Grosso's tournament ends in 17th place for $54,777 and the remaining sixteen now redraw to the last two tables.

Dominykas Karmazinas
Dominykas Karmazinas

Javier Francort raised to 200,000 from early position and it was folded to Dominykas Karmazinas, who raised pot from the big blind. Francort quickly four-bet to put Karmazinas all-in and Karmazinas called for his remaining stack.

Dominykas Karmazinas: KKJ8All in
Javier Francort: AQQ5

Karmazinas held the lead with kings and maintained it on the 7J2 flop, but the A turn paired Francort's ace to leave Karmazinas drawing slim.

The 3 river changed nothing and Karmazinas was eliminated in 18th place.

Brandon Crawford Eliminated in 20th Place ($54,777)

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Brandon Crawford
Brandon Crawford

Stefan Lehner limped from the cutoff and Brandon Crawford did so from the button, Ben Lamb from the small blind called and Sean Rafael checked his option in the big blind.

The 983 flop was checked to Crawford and he bet the pot for 300,000. Lamb folded and Rafael check-raised the pot, forcing out Lehner. Crawford called all-in and that led to the following showdown.

Brandon Crawford: 101087 All in
Sean Rafael: Q884

During the previous break, Crawford had lamented that he was running so bad after losing multiple pots mostly without showdown to see his stack damaged. There would be no comeback for him, as the 9 turn and 7 river gave Rafael a full house. Crawford's run ended in 20th place for $54,777.
