Early Pressure from Roux

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Cristian Dan raised from middle position to 85,000, and only Stephane Roux called from the small blind.

Roux executed a check-raise on the 4J5 flop, making it 250,000 after Dan had continued for 80,000. Dan called before both players checked the K turn.

The river brought the K, and after a moment's thought, Roux moved all in for roughly 490,000. There was no resistance from Dan, who returned his cards to the dealer, awarding the pot to Roux.

Recarte Takes From Kabrhel

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Eduardo Recarte raised to 100,000 from middle position, and Martin Kabrhel glanced at the tablet on the table before asking, “Are you from Barcelona, Eduardo?” Then made the call.

The dealer fanned a 2KA flop. Kabrhel checked, Recarte bet 100,000, and Kabrhel called after muttering, “Horrible bet.”

The turn brought the 8, and Kabrhel checked once more. Recarte fired again, this time for 320,000, which earned a quick fold from Kabrhel and quieted him, at least for the moment.

Gkatzas Doubles, Adam Eliminated

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Sasha Sabbaghian opened from under the gun to 100,000 and was met with an all-in from Alfie Adam in the cutoff. Action then folded to Dimitrios Gkatzas in the small blind, who moved all in too, before Sabbaghian folded.

Both Adam and Gkatzas had exactly 670,000, so both players were at risk.

Alfie Adam: 1010 All in
Dimitrios Gkatzas: KK All in

It was Gkatzas who had the upper hand, holding a bigger pocket pair.

There was no help to be found for Adam on the 47229 board, who vacated the tournament area as Gkatzas scooped in the double up and some.

Jacques Ortega: K9 All in
Tony Miles: AA
