Phamolivo Finds Aces to Survive

Matan Mesika opened to 12,000 on the button and Matan Mesika moved her remaining 6,000 chips into the middle from the small blind.

The action was held whilst other tables played their hand for hand and then the cards were flipped.

Shaffer Wins the Pot

Juan Montoya in hijack raised to 13,000 and got one caller in the big blind Brett Shaffer.

Both players checked the flop 6105. On the turn 2, Shaffer led out with 20,000 which was enough to take the pot down.

Jiang Gets Two-Outered; Murnaghan Flops Quads

Two huge hands occurred almost simultaneously here in the Paris Ballroom, the first involving Zhi Feng Jiang and Guy Haviv, who got it all in preflop.

Jiang was the heavy favourite all the way to the river, as the board read 1099A however Haviv spiked the win on the 2 river, revealing that he had also one-outered another player earlier in the day.

Elsewhere, Richard Bose paid off a river bet from Aubrey Murnaghan on a board reading 888J7 tabling QQ for a boat, however Murnaghan's flopped quads with A8 would of course scoop. It was told to PokerNews that the pot had been limped preflop.

Antezana Gets Important Double-up

With the bubble approaching, Edgar Antezana needed to double up in the worst way. He went all in from middle position. Feng Qian, in the big blind, was the lone caller.

Bryden Baxter opened to 12,000 on the button, and both blinds, Craig Crivello in small and Richard Gress in big called to see the flop.

The dealer unfurled 1054. After a check from the blinds, Baxter continued with a 14,000 bet, which made both blinds fold.

Zektser Forces a Fold Near the Bubble

There were roughly 40,000 chips in the pot on 51059.

Allen Altamirano bet 6,000 from early position, but got raised by Igor Zektser on the button to 17,000, Altamirano called.

Altamirano checked on the 9 river, and Zektser decided to bet 50,000, Altamirano went deep into the tank before he eventually folded.

Smith Sees The Double

Waheed Feda opened from middle position to 12,000 and Joshua Mcdougall three-bet to 40,000 from the cutoff.

Darragh Smith took some time before moving all in for 38,000, effectively calling Mcdougall. Feda folded.
