Renke's Bluff Falls Short

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Lucas Cortijo checked the turn on a board of 91095 and a pot of around 400,000. His heads-up opponent, button player Kajetan Renke, however, fired 120,000. Cortijo called.

The river came 3 and after a check, Renke kept up the pressure with a 250,000 bet. Unfazed, Cortijo called once again and waited for Renke to table his hand.

Renke showed QJ for a busted straight draw and a bluff. Cortijo tabled K10 for a two pair with the board on the flop.

Klopf Shows Dean the Bluff

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Andrew Dean was facing a huge decision on the river, as his opponent in the hand Matthew Klopf had shoved into him for 800,000 on the dot, with Dean not covering by much. The pot was just over the size of the bet, and the board read 341022

Dean mulled over his decision for quite a while, before eventually sliding his cards towards the dealer. A player asked Klopf to "show the bluff," and he obliged, showing AK face up for nothing but ace-high.
