Deeb Fighting Back

Level 25 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

It is unknown exactly how, but Shaun Deeb was back down to just 2,300,000, and got them all into the middle against the chip leader, Isaac Haxton.

Shaun Deeb: A886 All in
Isaac Haxton: Q1054

The flop of 933 was good for Deeb, but the A turn gave Haxton flush and straight outs. However, the Q river was safe for Deeb and he survived again.

Worse Than Ever? Hellmuth WSOP Entrance Branded 'Cringe' and 'Awkward'

Level 24 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth said months ago he would boycott the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Many poker fans on social media, upon seeing video of his grand entrance on Thursday, are probably wishing he'd stuck to his original plan.

The "Poker Brat" traditionally arrives fashionably late for the $10,000 buy-in World Championship event he won in 1989. He showed up about five hours after play began on Day 1b, dressed like a 1980s hair band rockstar, full glam metal hairstyle and all.

Morris Doubles Through Deeb

Level 24 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Arthur Morris
Arthur Morris

Arthur Morris raised to 1,500,000 from the small blind, and Shaun Deeb defended his big blind. The flop came out 36K and Morris led out for 2,000,000. Deeb jammed to put Morris all in, and Morris called for his 7,725,000 total.

Shaun Deeb: 8775

Morris had top set against the gutshot of Deeb. The 6 turn gave Morris a boat and the double-up, as an irrelevant 2 rolled off on the river.

Haxton Wins it on the Turn

Level 24 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

With KQ97, Isaac Haxton made it 1,200,000 from the cutoff and Lautaro Guerra defended his big blind holding Q877.

The dealer spread out a flop of Q5J and Guerra checked. Haxton checked behind to see the 10 land on the turn. Guerra checked, then folded after Haxton bet 2,300,000.

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

During the Main Event coverage, Isaac Haxton had moved into a commanding chip lead with 41,175,000, while Shaun Deeb was down to just five big blinds.

The action was picked up with Deeb being all-in preflop for his last 2,900,000 and Arthur Morris making the call to try and bust him.

Arthur Morris: 10986

Deeb needed his kings to hold or he would finish just outside the podium positions. The board ran out 3K49A to give Deeb the winner with a set of kings.

Haxton Chops With Deeb

Level 24 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Shaun Deeb limped with the AK92 on the button and Lautaro Guerra did so out of the small blind with the K1064. Isaac Haxton in the big blind raised to 2,000,000 with AKQ8 and Deeb was the only caller to see the 544 on the flop. What followed was a bet of 750,000 by Haxton and Deeb stuck around to the 4 on the turn.

Both players now opted to check and the 2 followed on the river.

Haxton's Small Bet Works

Level 24 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Holding 10873, Isaac Haxton raised to 1,500,000 from the small blind, and Arthur Morris defended his big blind with QJ54.

Haxton bet 700,000 on the monotone flop of 1075, which was enough to get Morris to fold.
