Level: 7
Blinds: 5,000/10,000
Ante: 10,000
The 47 players are now on a 60-minute dinner break and will return at 7:40 p.m. The blind will be 5,000/10,000 with a big blind ante of 10,000.
Jan-Peter Jachtmann was the single big blind and Dirk Gerritse potted from under the gun. Joni Jouhkimainen repotted on the button and Gerritse called to see the A♦J♥8♦ on the flop. The Dutch player checked and Jouhkimainen bet 110,000 for Gerritse to check-raise the pot.
Jouhkimainen then moved all-in and Gerritse called with both players holding similar stack sizes.
Dirk Gerritse: K♣10♦8♣6♦
Joni Jouhkimainen: A♠J♦9♦8♠
The flush draw of Gerritse was dominated and he was thus more relying on a miracle gutshot to survive. Nothing changed on the 3♥ turn and 9♠ as the stacks were counted. Jouhkimainen had 828,000 and that covered the approximately 760,000 of Gerritse.
"See you guys after dinner," he told them on the way out. Before the end of the level, Farid Jattin was also knocked out from the next table after he had just become short minutes prior.
Lautaro Guerra raised to 28,000 in the hijack. Alex Foxen raised the pot in the big blind, which made it 88,000 over to Guerra. He made the call.
The board came down 8♣4♣3♦, and Foxen bet 120,000. Guerra stuck around with a call.
The turn was the K♠. Foxen bet 350,000, and Guerra went all in. Foxen called and the cards were on their backs.
Alex Foxen: A♠A♣K♥8♠
Lautaro Guerra: A♥10♦8♦8♥
Foxen could have won with a king, or the last ace in the deck. However, the river was the 5♥, which saw him bust the tournament.
Farid Jattin made it 28,000 from middle position and only Yosuke Miki called from the small blind.
Miki knuckled the action over to Jattin on the A♦Q♠7♠ flop. Jattin bet 59,000, and was met by a check-raise to 120,000 from Miki. Jattin slid in the call.
The 7♣ landed on the turn and Miki slowed down and checked. Jattin used a time extension before carving out a bet of 203,000. Miki burned through a time extension of his own and then made the call.
With 305,000 remaining in his stack, Miki checked for the last time on the 3♠ river. Jattin jammed to put Miki all in, and Miki instantly called.
Jattin attempted to muck his hand face down, but the dealer reminded Jattin that in an all-in situation, both players' hands must be shown. Jattin had K♥J♥10♣5♥ for a busted draw. Miki showed a turned full house with Q♥Q♦9♦7♥, and earned the full double-up
Bryce Yockey, who has reentered this event, limped in from the hijack. Aaron Katz called on the button, Jeremy Ausmus called in the small blind, before Sean Winter raised to 40,000 from the big blind. Yockey and Katz called, and Ausmus folded.
The flop was 10♦6♣2♣, and all players checked. On the 8♦ turn, Winter checked and Yockey bet 45,000. Katz called, and the action was on Winter. He decided to raise to 361,000, leaving 1,000 behind. Yockey moved all in, Katz got out of the way, and Winter called.
Sean Winter: A♦9♥9♣7♥
Bryce Yockey: K♣9♦8♠7♣
Both players had the nut straight with a flush draw, but the 8♥ river saw neither of them make a flush, so they chopped this one up.
Veselin Karakitukov bet the A♠J♣7♣ flop for 40,000 and was called by Sergio Martinez Gonzalez before they headed to the 6♠ on the turn. Karakitukov then checked and folded once his opponent made it 150,000 to go.
Shortly after, the same table lost Gruffudd Pugh-Jones after the Welshman lost his last half starting stack to Ben Tollerene in the last level before the dinner break.
In the meanwhile, Isaac Haxton lost a chunk of his re-entry stack when he bet the J♥J♣9♠2♥A♣ river for 138,000. Farid Jattin reluctantly called and was good with the A♦Q♦Q♥7♠ as Haxton only had the 8♦7♦6♥4♥ for a missed straight and flush draw.
John Jouhkimainen raised to 22,000 and was called only by Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the big blind. They checked all the way to the 10♥9♠8♥8♣4♠ river on which Jachtmann's bet of 35,000 did the trick to win the pot without resistance.
Lautaro Guerra then limped in first to act and called a raise to 31,000 by Alex Foxen on the button. The 10♥8♣6♦ flop was checked before Guerra bet the 6♥ turn for 60,000, Foxen called. They checked the 9♠ river again and Guerra won the pot with his A♣6♣5♦2♦ for trips sixes.
Tomas Ribeiro made it 20,000 to go from the hijack. Jason Koon called from the button, and Jonas Kronwitter defended his big blind.
Everyone checked the 2♦5♦4♣ flop to see the 8♠ appear on the turn. Kronwitter led out for 53,000, which only Koon called.
The 4♠ dropped on the river and Kronwitter led out again, this time for 85,000. Koon mulled it over briefly before making the call. Kronwitter immediately mucked, meaning Koon pulled in the pot without having to reveal his holding.
