Gerritse Straight Out of Bullet Number Two

Level 7 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Dirk Gerritse
Dirk Gerritse

Soon after losing a big portion of his stack, Dirk Gerritse was all-in and at risk preflop and Stephen Chidwick also ended up at risk for 171,000 with both being looked up by Arthur Morris.

Dirk Gerritse: A622 All in
Stephen Chidwick: JJ64 All in
Arthur Morris: AK76

The 7539K board gave Chidwick a straight on the flop to double through Morris and knock out Gerritse. What followed was a special pep talk by Jared Bleznick.

"How do you do this? This is sick, jack jack six four he goes all-in and wins every tournament ... this is a horrible hand, I am trying to help you man because I have a bet on you," Jared Bleznick told Chidwick while grabbing the winning hand. Prior to the dinner break, Bleznick had started some side bets on who the winner might be against several other of the participants.

"You're Too Rich to Fold"

Level 7 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick limped under the gun, and Arthur Morris raised to 45,000 in the hijack. Jared Bleznick made sure to let Morris know that the side bet they had just booked was starting that hand.

Santhosh Suvarna called Morris' raise, before Dirk Gerritse repotted on the button, a total of 205,000. Chidwick folded, and Morris moved all in. Survana thought for a long time before folding. Bleznik wanted to see what Survana folded, but instead Survana mucked the hand. Gerritse made the call.

Arthur Morris: AAQ5 All in
Dirk Gerritse: AKJ10

The board ran out Q52810, so Morris' nut flush won the pot. Meanwhile, Survana told Bleznick he folded double-suited Kings, and Bleznick repeatedly told him, "You're too rich to fold".

Azoulay is Drawing Dead by the Turn

Level 7 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

With 100,000 already in the middle on the A610 flop, Ben Lamb bet enough to put Jonathan Azoulay all in. Azoulay had about 90,000 remaining in his stack and happily called to put himself at risk.

Jonathan Azoulay: A987 All in
Ben Lamb: KKJ7

Azoulay was in the lead with top pair against the gutshot straight draw of Lamb. However, the Q arrived on the turn, and Azoulay was drawing dead to Lamb's Broadway straight. An irrelevant 4 came on the river, and Azoulay headed for the exit.

Pärssinen Chips Up Against Garza and Depa

Level 7 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Fahredin Mustafov raised to 35,000 from under the gun and was called by Eelis Pärssinen in the cutoff, Lou Garza also called in the big blind. The J93 flop was checked and Garza bet the Q turn for 100,000. Mustafov folded while Pärssinen called.

The Q river paired the board and it slowed down Garza, who opted to check. Pärssinen bet 203,000 and that was paid off eventually for Pärssinen to win the pot with K1096 for the king-high straight.

Jonathan Depa then limped in and called a pot-sized raise by the Finn. The 1086 flop was checked before Depa check-called a bet on the 6 turn. Another checked street came with the Q river on which Depa flashed the KK, Pärssinen scooped the pot with his J765.
